Introduction: My main role was informing the testing laboratory on when and where to
come and do tests for quality assurance.
 Collecting tests results, submitting them to the resident engineer and filing them
and also submitting a copy to the head office for them to forward claims if the
results were good.
 Presenting tests results in site meetings and updating the project manager on
pending results or results that did not pass tests for him to adjust programme
activities.
Reason for leaving: Project complete and could not continue with the company to next
projects due failure to secure a work permit because I am not yet cleared with scholarship
loan.

Site-based Contractors Quantity Surveyor
Introduction: My main role was overseeing all site activity that has cost implications on
the contractor.
 Calculating material needed on site and ordering the material in time to enhance
smooth running of the project.
 Making project progress reports to the director and advising on time-related issues
that would otherwise put the project duration beyond the stipulated time.
 Working closely with the site foreman and advising on time-related and cost
related matters that can put us out of programme plan.
 Calculating monthly remunerations of tradesmen, gang bosses, operators and
drivers.
 Presenting progress reports to the employer during monthly site meetings.
 Identifying variations and negotiating with the employer on their authorizations.
 Processing claim certificates to the employer.
Reason for leaving: Project complete and company had no job waiting to start or coming
up.

Introduction: My main role was buying building material by making a material list in a
spreadsheet and faxing it to four nominated suppliers and choosing the lowest and
awarding an order to supply and deliver.
 Assist in tender opening
 Assist in tender evaluation
 Crosschecking tender bill of quantities for arithmetic errors
 Site inspection of on-going projects
 Physical measurement and evaluation of completed to the employers satisfaction
 Processing interim payment certificates work completed.
Skills
Languages: Siswati, English, IsiZulu.
Good keyboard skills, excellent skills with Microsoft excel, word and PowerPoint.
Interests
Bodybuilding, hiking, reading science journals, watching international news, travelling off-
road, listening to good music.
