2. Teaser:
. I have got the group of models to close to centre of the
shot so that they are the main focus and so that I can also
easily photoshop the image to make it look like the camera
is the audience looking through a spy hole in a door onto
the centre of the room which will focussing on the group of
models. Which shall be similar to the Friday 13th poster that
has the setting and the characters inside the figure which is
suppose to be Jason.
. However the group of models are still slightly off of the
centre to create that off feeling and to make the people
looking at this poster slightly tense therefore enhancing that
Horror movie look and feeling
. I think that I like about this image is that you can just make
out the environment that the models are in. but its still a
little blurry which matches how an eye focuses onto
something and everything around that goes slightly blurry
but you can still make out everything. Which then again
links to someone looking into the spyhole onto the group.
. Another reason as to why I like this image for the Teaser
poster is because it teases the setting the characters but not
what they are up to, to still leave that layer of mystery.
3. Theatrical:
For my Theatrical poster I make everything in this image
crystal clear so you can now clearly see the main wall in
the setting which is good because you can see that the
setting by how the main wall looks matches to the
theme of my original idea for the living room (dated,
questionable, a bit odd), which also slightly links to the
poster that I researched for the movie Arachnophobia.
Because they both show the setting and you can get a
feel for the setting just by looking at the poster.
I like these two images of the shadows that will be on my Theatrical
poster. All I need from both of these images are the outline of the two
model to then turn them into shadows, so the actual setting doesn’t
necessarily matter. However I like how this two images match the
setting image for my Theatrical poster with the camera settings to that
when it comes to photoshop the two shadow images wont be different
shades of where the light is coming from and that they very similar
which will make photoshopping easier. This is similar to the poster
research that I did previously on the movie The Exorcist because both
figures shall be shadows and the shadow of the figure on that poster
matches thee look / idea/ lighting with the actual setting of the poster.
You can see that
the setting is
quite dated from
how the setting
looks. This will
give the
implications of a
haunted house.
4. Landscape:
The aim for this shot was to have a clear view of
the lower legs at feel of the main antagonist so
that it creates a sense of tension and caution
towards this character via the audience. I also had
the idea to have the shot close to candle light to
add a little mystery to the poster and add the
theme of horror and so that the possible audience
who sees this poster can also understand the
intensions of the poster. What I like about the
poster is how the lower body is extremely close to
the centre of the shot however is ever so slightly
to the right so that it puts the people looking at
this poster slightly on edge to further enhance the
theme of horror. This is similar to the Friday 13th
poster that I researched where the main thing is
the figure of the lower body of Jason (the main
antagonist).
