rose to dominate the personal computer operating system market
with MS-DOS in the mid-1980s, followed by Microsoft Windows.

On the contrary, Microsoft faced anti trust issues since people found it
monopolizing the industry. Apple made a great comeback with a range
of iPods, iPhones and iTunes. The Mac became symbolic of a smart
and creative personality. Windows Vista was plagued with bugs. Of
late, Internet Explorer and Windows smart phones have faile dto keep
up with the competition.

Microsoft launched a search engine called Bing,
and it also entered the growing Mobile Industry
with its Windows mobile phone OS with a hope of
forging a strong connection with its consumers
worldwide. The Surface Tablet had a detachable
keyboard that also served as a protective cover.
These were all sensible areas of growth having
great demand. However, the Windows smart
phones lacked the user friendly interface as that
provided by Android. Hence, it gradually lost
grip.

and brand value of Microsoft. Its wide
range of software, mobile and home
entertainment products give competition
to Apple as well. No doubt, it is the
