Metal halide perovskites can crystallize in different structures depending on temperature and composition. The most common structures are the cubic, tetragonal, and orthorhombic phases. These different crystal structures impact the optoelectronic properties of metal halide perovskites and understanding their phase transitions could enable design of perovskites with optimized performance.
