Remedial instruction in education is intended to make a remedy on an existing learning issue that hinders the progress and development of learner's needed competencies and learning objectives. It tries to improve and remediate the basic skills deemed necessary amongst students.

2. Course Description
 This course is designed for students and prospective teachers
to acquire a deeper perspective of the importance of
remedial instruction in education as a necessary tool for
learning the different macro skills in literacy and numeracy
and so with other subject areas.
 Particularly it is intended to familiarize student with the
different reading difficulties met by learners and to be able
to help the learners with reading disabilities to acquire skills
and improve their reading abilities through a functional
management of the program of reading remediation and
correction.
