Project Manager for the Department of Electricity Development, Government of Nepal
Leading feasibility and EIA for the Kankai Multipurpose project, a 60 MW irrigation, flood control and
hydropower project –expected to provide year-round irrigation water to about 67000 hectares of land in
eastern Nepal
Led the project team for “Updating of Hydropower Study Guidelines, 2003". The project, in consultation
with various stakeholders, supported the Government of Nepal in drafting policies and formulating long
term plans for sustainable hydropower development in Nepal
Supporting the cooperation between JV Office and government units such as Department of Electricity
Development (DoED), NEA, Department of Environment, people from academia and subject matter
experts. Also, playing a key role in tracking the deliverables as agreed upon by different stakeholders,
preparing periodic reports etc.
Leading the team and providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff on operational issues, policy
discussions and analytical activities –also support, organize and manage workshops, and orientation
