1914.

• Also was member of the Committee of Intellectual Co-
operation of the League of Nations
4. Awards and Other Achievements
• Won Nobel Prize twice for Chemistry and Physics
– First woman to win Nobel Prize and only woman to
win the award in two different fields
• Received Davy Medal of the Royal Society
• Discovered Radium and Polonium

radium from radioactive residues in
