Personal Statement
As an experienced ship clerk, my tenacious and proactive approach has helped me make
significant changes and process simplifications within my department. My excellent time
management skills and meticulous attention to detail has assisted to deliver our customer
promise over the past 4 peaks. After 4 years in my current role I am now seeking a new
challenge which will utilise my attention to detail and friendly management skills.
Education
I attended Rossington high school; 1989 – 1994. Where I received 5 GCSE’s graded B-C.
Work Experience
Amazon UK – 25/09/10 > Present.
I started my amazon career as a temporary associate working on the shipping chutes, this
involved basic tasks such as stacking and wrapping pallets. After 11 months of hard work and
dedication I was converted to a permanent associate. Shortly after being converted to a
permanent associate I applied for the shipping clerk role; Clerk test was completed with flying
colours and I attended an interview which I was successful in. I have also stepped up on multiple
occasions to lead the shipping team, I have done so using my experience; working against a plan
and ensuring my team was safety orientated.

2. I have also assisted with a shipping kaizen which involved the trial of loose loading shipments
which was a huge success.
My current role is Ship Clerk – Outbound Ship Dock
My current position is crucial to the outbound operation – I have just over 4 years experience in
my current role and believe I am a vital member to the team.
Ship clerk responsibilities include:
Correspond with multiple shipping companies and their contacts
Use multiple shipping companies software to ship and track packages
Coordinate trailers to corresponding dock doors and cross docks using the OMA tool
Ensure that all safety measures and precautions are in place and being used regarding
the docks and trailers Qualifications
Ensure that all CPT shipments are cleared both virtually and physically to make certain
we deliver our customer promise
Closely monitor the fluctuating workflow in a frugal manor and cancel any collections
the volume doesn’t warrant
Provide the oncoming shift with a precise detailed handover explaining any issues or
cases.
McCormick International Tractors August 2008 > August 2009.
I worked as part of a team on multi-assembly jobs assembling tractor interior and exterior
components. My responsibility was to ensure the products were assembled correctly to the
highest standard. I also undertook restoration projects – changing the outdated components
and electrical circuits. Towards the end of my employment at McCormick’s I worked in the
shipping department, through my hard work and ambition I secured a supervisor role –
Managed a small team of up to 4 employees; My responsibilities in this position were to ensure
all work was completed and meet deadlines, All the components which were received were of
the highest quality and managing the overtime schedule. Unfortunately my career at
McCormick’s come to an end when the business moved overseas.

I worked as a print finisher for a decade and worked my way up to print supervisor role which
enabled me to work as part of a team to guide and help others to learn and develop their skills
