My Clinical Experience Essay
We all want different things out of life; however, I believe everyone shares one common goal: to make an impact in this life. When it was time for
me to choose my way of doing so, without a doubt, I chose medicine. Throughout my high school years, I worked hard toward that goal till my
persistent efforts paid off and I was accepted into the best medical school in my country at Damascus University.
While working alongside internists during my clinical rotations at medical school, observing their enthusiasm for their work was contagious. Every
little detail mattered, and every single step that had been taken , no matter how simple, had absolutely made a change in that patient's future. I found
my passion in Internal Medicine . It allows me to integrate my scientific knowledge with my clinical care and interpersonal skills. The thought process
involved into this specialty and the complexity of ailments affecting the human body at various stages make internal medicine extremely appealing to

High School Experience Research Paper
It has been tough gaining School experience, however; my old primary school was very nice in allowing me to shadow different teachers to see if
teaching is the right career path for me. I previously gained work experience in a school 8 years ago nevertheless, things have changed intensely.
Technology is swiftly changing and children often use laptops as well as interactive whiteboards to increase their development in learning. I have been
trying to gain as much experience as possible however, due to work commitments, I have only been able to shadow teachers whilst I have taken
holiday from my current job. Helping teachers in my old Primary school was fantastic as I was able to teach children the basics such as reading or
spelling. I was set a task to determine how well children were reading and to make notes in their reading diaries to allow parents to see how well
their child has developed. Whilst the children were reading I would help them voice certain words that they found tough. I also was in a year three
class and the teacher set them a Maths task I was there to help and make notes in the book to help children develop. The teacher in that classroom
explained to me that she has deliberately sat all mixed abilities across the classroom as children should be...show more content...
I have seen them progress to their full potential and I still help them. They have found learning during the weekend very helpful as they have been

I am currently retaking my GCSE Science to help me gain a C or above and have already passed my QTS for Literacy and Numeracy.
Overall, I feel that I have many skills which would inspire me to help young pupils develop. Gaining school work experience as well as gaining skills
from the workplace has inspired me to make School an enjoyable place for children

My College Experience Essay examples
My College Experience
Throughout my lifetime I have listened to people reflect back on their college experiences and explain how college is supposed to be "the best
experience of your life." The summer after my senior year I use to try and imagine what my first semester was going to be like based on what I had
heard people talk about in the past. After my first semester at NC State I realized that I couldn't fully understand what college was like until I
experienced it for myself. My first couple of weeks at Ohio State was rough and really tested my strength (mental and physical). I faced challenges
and obstacles that I had never heard about in those past college experience conversations. All of a sudden there was no one to get me out of...show more

I can remember missing 8:05 classes because I stayed out too late the night before. In high school the teacher would constantly remind the students
when certain assignments were due, but this was not the case in college. I learned that the hard way my first semester. Sometimes I forgot to turn in
an assignment because I didn't properly read my syllabus and my professor never mentioned it. These were all new problems that could have easily
let escalate without taking the proper actions. For the most part I was doing fairly well but a few of my grades began to plummet. I was losing the
confidence in myself and started to wonder if going to college had been the best decision. The time had come for me to grow up and become an adult
even I didn't feel the time was right. I immediately began attending tutoring sessions, working with peers and also keeping a daily to–do list. These
factors were the eventually led to drastic improvement and success. After my first semester I learned how better manage my time, take advantage of
campus resources and also how to organize myself better. These struggles also taught me that sometimes I try and rush through things instead of
taking my time. I realized that one of my strong points is being able to really do well when my back is against the wall. Although I was unhappy
while facing obstacles I am happy I experienced them. I believe this experience was the reason for my

Reflection About My Past Experience
1.INTRODUCTION
During high school, many teenagers come across different struggles which some can lead to a loss of identity, confusion and change of character and
personality. As individuals, we grow up and come against different obstacles which have a huge influence on us and who we grow up to be.
Adolescent stage is a period of storm and distress which Louw and Louw (2014) define as the period through which a transition from childhood to
adulthood takes place, it can also be seen as a bride for development. We develop different characteristics in each and every objection we come across.
In this assignment, I'll be focusing on my reflection about my past experience in a deeper and richer dimension whilst using certain aspects which will
help me make a richer meaning of my experience.
2.THE REFLECTION
During my high school days I was just a young teenager living a happy life with little problems which only occurred due to my rebellious behaviour
even after everything that I witnessed during my early childhood. Like most teenagers, I was one sneaky and naughty student who was a bit difficult
to predict his own behaviour and was always up for a challenge, but...show more content...
It just brought a lot of pain in my life, but I just knew that I'll have to make peace with what has happened and focus on building myself into a
person who will be able to take care of my niece and nephews the same way he would've taken care of them. I lost myself as in the process of
seeking revenge, but months after getting caught up in what had happened, I knew I had to bounce back and show true character, keep my head
straight and get my life back together by doing good in school after my grades had immensely dropped as I found it difficult to accept all this. I showed
positive signs of resilience which the Merriam–Webster dictionary defines as, "the ability to become strong, healthy, or successful again after

Throughout this semester in the Introduction to Academic Research course, I learned a great deal about research. We covered a wide variety of topics
that encompassed topics such as methods of field research, the unknowns when conducting research (the Black Box activity), the differences that exist
among fields when using the word "research", and many others.
I'll begin with what I learned about myself. Throughout this course, I learned a great deal about my future interests and the characteristics I exhibit
when participating in a group project. When working with Rob Geis and Martin Castro, I searched constantly and relentlessly through the CIA database
to find any information relevant to our project and the argument we wished to make....show more content...
I believe my research interests lie within the American South. I am fascinated by the historic and economic elements of the region that I call
home. I personally believe that learning about your interests is important but the strengths, values, and limitations that you bring to the table are
more important. Learning this about yourself helps to address your own weaknesses and to find individuals that balance the research group out.
Throughout this course, I also learned a bit about research. My concept of research changed very little. Throughout high school and the IB
program, I learned how to evaluate sources, the importance of primary sources, and other elements of research. In my senior year, I completed an
original work entitled "How has the internet changed the market structure of local news with reference to the Augusta Chronicle in Augusta,
Georgia?". The research paper was over 24 pages and nearly 4,000 words long. I received an A (a grade received by 10.59% of all students
involved in most difficult international high school program in the world) for my Extended Essay grade from the IB Economics examiners in India.
I was also asked to complete research reports in other individual courses. One of these reports included my IB History of the Americas class. In this
report, I examined how accurate the media portrayal of Jefferson Davis following the Civil War reflected his personality

Reflection On Experience And Learning
Going back to what were my beliefs about experience and learning meant to me, I still feel that experience and learning has always been a part of life.
We learn in different ways and process different understandings differently. But as I furthered my knowledge on how experience and learning in
adulthood are understood, I have learned much more. In the beginning of this course, I looked at experiences and learning in the perspective of how
children would learn (pedagogy). I say this because I would always go back to other theorists of child development. For example, like Piaget and
Vygotsky's theories and connect it with how adult learners would learn. We come into class with priorknowledge and build on new ones as we observe
others. Once we socialize with other knowledgeable others we learn to build more information to our prior learning. As I stated before in one of my
discussion, then we grow and develop differently because we are all unique. In the process of adolescence we learn as traditional students, but as adults,
many of us become nontraditional students.
My experience of adulthood, I had many experiences and learned as I go. One of them was a reflection of my experience in education. I knew that a
high school diploma was not enough and needed to search for more knowledge. In fact, as I continued my education (MAAL) it has helped me
understand new theories on how experiences and learning work together. I came to understand that there is a relationship

I have proactively engaged in research activity throughout my undergraduate program. I had my first research experience in Dr. B Anand's lab, Indian
Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, during my second year. The aim of the project was to study the non–fluorescent beta–barrel structured
proteins and engineer its amino acid sequence to make them into fluorescent ones. Our approach was mainly based upon the studies of Green

I was challenged with cloning ydeH gene into the pJT118 plasmids which are green light sensitive. The ydeH gene produces a protein named

International Bio–molecular design competition (BIOMOD) 2012 held at Wyss Institute, Harvard University, USA. Most of the molecular genetic
techniques were extensively used in my project. During this internship, apart from gaining deeper technical experience, I realized that I could work on
a research problem with a certain degree of independence, figuring out right approaches and proposing useful experiments. I acquired more confidence
in my aptitude for research and it has been boosted while working on my undergraduate projects.
As a part of my undergraduate thesis, I worked on a project 'Extraction and analysis of beauvericin, a mycotoxin produced by Beauveria bassiana and

Lived Experiences: A Nursing Case Study
Introduction The purpose of this paper is to find meaning and understanding of lived experiences from obstetric patients that were involved in a nurse
case management system during and after their high risk pregnancy. This group read through three transcripts in order to find major and minor themes
that could provide lived experiences "something that is human so that we can better understand the meaning of being human, perhaps the fact that the
responses to experiences are often similar may not be surprising" (Munhall, 2012, p. 120). The purpose of this paper will be achieved by the group's

Sociology Career Research Paper
The history of how society came about is very old but short, only emerging during the 19th century. Therefore, it is one of the youngest as well as one
of the oldest of the social sciences. According to the American Sociological Association sociology is the study of social life, social change, and the
social causes and consequences of human behavior. Sociologists investigate the structure of groups, organizations, and societies, and how people
interact within these contexts. In comparison to other majors, sociology has a broad scope with relevance to research, theory, and application of

goal is to enhance your chances of finding meaningful employment after graduation. First, decide what you want to do. A clear career goal is the
essential first step of any career search. It doesn't have to be a lifetime goal, just a plan of action for now. The Career Services Center has many

occupational areas, computerized career guidance programs, printed resources on various occupations, videotapes, and helpful advisers who can assist

part–time practical experience is a significant factor of their college years that helped them to achieve success. Graduates who had such experience
consistently show a lower unemployment rate, higher salaries, and better career potential for their jobs than those without it. Even if you decide to go
on to graduate or professional school, admissions committees for advanced degrees favor candidates with such experience. In addition, practical
experience can help you decide what you might like to do in the work force. By testing an occupation before committing to a full–time career, you can
see if it suits you. Lastly, as you begin your job search it is important to remember that not all methods work equally well for all types of

required me to create a research proposal, something that I had never attempted before. I began to understand the complexities of what I would be

Because of this there was a learning curve I had to overcome in order to conduct my research, but I feel that this on–hands learning greatly benefited
me. By learning the software while using data that I had gathered and knew in–depth to conduct analyses that were crucial to my project, I believe that
I came to understand the processes of the software much better than I would have in the classroom. My hypotheses for this project posited that areas
with greater numbers of community service programs would have lower rates of crime, both violent and property. The results came to show a very
different picture: areas with high crime rates had a greater number of programs, centralized around larger urban areas. These results initially confused
me, but it became apparent that my hypothesis was based on the assumption that these community programs were enacted as preventative measures
and preceded the high crime rate. Instead, these programs arose as a way to combat and counter the symptoms and byproducts that arise from higher
crime rates. While these results were the opposite of what I had hypothesized, I was glad that they were so. It showed me the research does not always
follow the path you believe it will and that the results you do get can show something more important than what you had hoped it would. I have
presented my findings on several occasions, including at a national McNair symposium in Atlanta and at a global conference, The Ninth World

Writing is way that we can express ourselves, it is a way to interface ideas and thoughts and to prove a point. Throughout my writing experience or
process I have struggled with writing especially using details or really expressing myself my work. In this course Facts & Fiction: Portraits in World
Art I expect to gain more knowledge on how to write a perfect essay, story, letter, and assignment. I expect to learn new genres and rhetorical
situations. I also think my writing will improve academically and I will develop my skills in writing. Also taking my writing to a different point of
view, level, and writing something different rather than the usual. I look forward to getting feedback from my peers and learning their thoughts on my
writing and how they can help me improve.
Reading and writing were two things my parents use to always push me to improve and work on more often. They always told me they are the
essentials of everything thing. Even though I disliked both at a young age as I grew older I preferred writing because I can always change the
way I write and write from my point of view, really be creative with it and prove my point. Growing up I always loved writing short stories
especially scary stories. I always was creative with them and even made them realistic. To write an essay I usually have a couple of steps writing an
outline, and the thesis a draft and finally a final draft. The most difficult part about this is writing the thesis because the whole essay revolves the
thesis because it summarizes the whole essay. At the end of some essays, I had to use citations to do that there were many websites that helped me
cite sources such as easybib which was a really simple process. So, citing sources was one of the easiest things about writing the essay.
Writing to a teacher is way more complex then writing to a fried or a family member. Writing to a teacher is way more complex, I must make sure
that everything is on point or it reaches the state of protection. Which is having the right format, a great thesis and really conveying the point of the
essay. Writing to a friend or a family member is much easier I usually don't focus on grammatic errors or writing a perfect thesis. Today some of us don't

An Experience that changed my Life
Life is full of learning and it is mostly due to our daily life experiences. These experiences are mostly based on our surrounding environment from

Whats were my most challenging high school experiences?.
I have most definitely had some harsh times in high school, whether that's academically or socially. Some of the things that I struggled with in my high
school experience was learning how to study, balancing work and school, and finding a group of people to call your own.
One of my most challenging high school experiences were balancing study time. Staying organized enough to get everything done is a struggle. In
class it is sometimes hard to know which notes are important or not. With there being more work and tests you have to have strong study skills. The
biggest thing is that nobody is going to force you to study, its your decision alone. It's hard when you have assignments in different classes with the
same deadline, but it can be made easier if you break it down into more manageable pieces. I learned to use a day planner and it helped me to become a

What I Have Learned About Research
What I have learned about research is that it is a process, a scientific process that psychologist and scientist develop that includes many different
approaches and that is carefully peer reviewed and evaluated. There is what is called the Scientific Approach where scientist have an idea or theory
and based on their observation will either support the theory or the theory can be falsified by their peers. Data also goes through a review period
before it is published in a scientific journal by scientist who have the knowledge and expertise to evaluate it.
I also learned the difference between basic and applied research where basic research focuses mostly on things such as emotion, cognition, social
behavior, personality development, learning, and neuropsychology. Basic research will be more helpful for answering fundamental questions about the
nature of behavior. Applied research however, addresses more of a specific problem with a possible solution. Program evaluation covers a large area of
applied research. Program evaluation assesses the social reforms and innovations that occur in government, education, the criminal justice system,
industry, health care, and mental health institutions. When discussing behavioral research it is imperative to note the precedents that it has in many
fields and the significance of the applications to public policy.

classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of
how the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom environment is for most instructors. In general, I
believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and I learned a lot in such a brief period.
The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect and relate theme content to real life situations
inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore, during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs and
that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies
such as direct instruction, drill and practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with exchanges of
opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations

My Clinical Experience Essay

  • 1. My Clinical Experience Essay We all want different things out of life; however, I believe everyone shares one common goal: to make an impact in this life. When it was time for me to choose my way of doing so, without a doubt, I chose medicine. Throughout my high school years, I worked hard toward that goal till my persistent efforts paid off and I was accepted into the best medical school in my country at Damascus University. While working alongside internists during my clinical rotations at medical school, observing their enthusiasm for their work was contagious. Every little detail mattered, and every single step that had been taken , no matter how simple, had absolutely made a change in that patient's future. I found my passion in Internal Medicine . It allows me to integrate my scientific knowledge with my clinical care and interpersonal skills. The thought process involved into this specialty and the complexity of ailments affecting the human body at various stages make internal medicine extremely appealing to ...show more content... In addition to learning more about breast, lung and melanoma cancer and the latest drugs and treatment plans , I researched the literature and wrote the paper for a retrospective study at the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center about Rectal Cancer Recurrence in elderly patients.Since I'm always thrilled to learn new things and be on board with the latest discoveries in medicine, I recently started a research internship at The Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology Department at MD Anderson Cancer Center. This internship has given me the opportunity to work on a retrospective study about colon cancer. We analyze the effect of obesity on patients receiving chemotherapy and whether it can be associated with worse outcomes for those Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. High School Experience Research Paper It has been tough gaining School experience, however; my old primary school was very nice in allowing me to shadow different teachers to see if teaching is the right career path for me. I previously gained work experience in a school 8 years ago nevertheless, things have changed intensely. Technology is swiftly changing and children often use laptops as well as interactive whiteboards to increase their development in learning. I have been trying to gain as much experience as possible however, due to work commitments, I have only been able to shadow teachers whilst I have taken holiday from my current job. Helping teachers in my old Primary school was fantastic as I was able to teach children the basics such as reading or spelling. I was set a task to determine how well children were reading and to make notes in their reading diaries to allow parents to see how well their child has developed. Whilst the children were reading I would help them voice certain words that they found tough. I also was in a year three class and the teacher set them a Maths task I was there to help and make notes in the book to help children develop. The teacher in that classroom explained to me that she has deliberately sat all mixed abilities across the classroom as children should be...show more content... I have seen them progress to their full potential and I still help them. They have found learning during the weekend very helpful as they have been assured enough to ask me countless questions. Gaining school experience and helping family/friends has inspired me to apply for teacher training as I am currently retaking my GCSE Science to help me gain a C or above and have already passed my QTS for Literacy and Numeracy. Overall, I feel that I have many skills which would inspire me to help young pupils develop. Gaining school work experience as well as gaining skills from the workplace has inspired me to make School an enjoyable place for children Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My College Experience Essay examples My College Experience Throughout my lifetime I have listened to people reflect back on their college experiences and explain how college is supposed to be "the best experience of your life." The summer after my senior year I use to try and imagine what my first semester was going to be like based on what I had heard people talk about in the past. After my first semester at NC State I realized that I couldn't fully understand what college was like until I experienced it for myself. My first couple of weeks at Ohio State was rough and really tested my strength (mental and physical). I faced challenges and obstacles that I had never heard about in those past college experience conversations. All of a sudden there was no one to get me out of...show more content... I can remember missing 8:05 classes because I stayed out too late the night before. In high school the teacher would constantly remind the students when certain assignments were due, but this was not the case in college. I learned that the hard way my first semester. Sometimes I forgot to turn in an assignment because I didn't properly read my syllabus and my professor never mentioned it. These were all new problems that could have easily let escalate without taking the proper actions. For the most part I was doing fairly well but a few of my grades began to plummet. I was losing the confidence in myself and started to wonder if going to college had been the best decision. The time had come for me to grow up and become an adult even I didn't feel the time was right. I immediately began attending tutoring sessions, working with peers and also keeping a daily to–do list. These factors were the eventually led to drastic improvement and success. After my first semester I learned how better manage my time, take advantage of campus resources and also how to organize myself better. These struggles also taught me that sometimes I try and rush through things instead of taking my time. I realized that one of my strong points is being able to really do well when my back is against the wall. Although I was unhappy while facing obstacles I am happy I experienced them. I believe this experience was the reason for my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Reflection About My Past Experience 1.INTRODUCTION During high school, many teenagers come across different struggles which some can lead to a loss of identity, confusion and change of character and personality. As individuals, we grow up and come against different obstacles which have a huge influence on us and who we grow up to be. Adolescent stage is a period of storm and distress which Louw and Louw (2014) define as the period through which a transition from childhood to adulthood takes place, it can also be seen as a bride for development. We develop different characteristics in each and every objection we come across. In this assignment, I'll be focusing on my reflection about my past experience in a deeper and richer dimension whilst using certain aspects which will help me make a richer meaning of my experience. 2.THE REFLECTION During my high school days I was just a young teenager living a happy life with little problems which only occurred due to my rebellious behaviour even after everything that I witnessed during my early childhood. Like most teenagers, I was one sneaky and naughty student who was a bit difficult to predict his own behaviour and was always up for a challenge, but...show more content... It just brought a lot of pain in my life, but I just knew that I'll have to make peace with what has happened and focus on building myself into a person who will be able to take care of my niece and nephews the same way he would've taken care of them. I lost myself as in the process of seeking revenge, but months after getting caught up in what had happened, I knew I had to bounce back and show true character, keep my head straight and get my life back together by doing good in school after my grades had immensely dropped as I found it difficult to accept all this. I showed positive signs of resilience which the Merriam–Webster dictionary defines as, "the ability to become strong, healthy, or successful again after something bad Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Throughout this semester in the Introduction to Academic Research course, I learned a great deal about research. We covered a wide variety of topics that encompassed topics such as methods of field research, the unknowns when conducting research (the Black Box activity), the differences that exist among fields when using the word "research", and many others. I'll begin with what I learned about myself. Throughout this course, I learned a great deal about my future interests and the characteristics I exhibit when participating in a group project. When working with Rob Geis and Martin Castro, I searched constantly and relentlessly through the CIA database to find any information relevant to our project and the argument we wished to make....show more content... I believe my research interests lie within the American South. I am fascinated by the historic and economic elements of the region that I call home. I personally believe that learning about your interests is important but the strengths, values, and limitations that you bring to the table are more important. Learning this about yourself helps to address your own weaknesses and to find individuals that balance the research group out. Throughout this course, I also learned a bit about research. My concept of research changed very little. Throughout high school and the IB program, I learned how to evaluate sources, the importance of primary sources, and other elements of research. In my senior year, I completed an original work entitled "How has the internet changed the market structure of local news with reference to the Augusta Chronicle in Augusta, Georgia?". The research paper was over 24 pages and nearly 4,000 words long. I received an A (a grade received by 10.59% of all students involved in most difficult international high school program in the world) for my Extended Essay grade from the IB Economics examiners in India. I was also asked to complete research reports in other individual courses. One of these reports included my IB History of the Americas class. In this report, I examined how accurate the media portrayal of Jefferson Davis following the Civil War reflected his personality Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Reflection On Experience And Learning Going back to what were my beliefs about experience and learning meant to me, I still feel that experience and learning has always been a part of life. We learn in different ways and process different understandings differently. But as I furthered my knowledge on how experience and learning in adulthood are understood, I have learned much more. In the beginning of this course, I looked at experiences and learning in the perspective of how children would learn (pedagogy). I say this because I would always go back to other theorists of child development. For example, like Piaget and Vygotsky's theories and connect it with how adult learners would learn. We come into class with priorknowledge and build on new ones as we observe others. Once we socialize with other knowledgeable others we learn to build more information to our prior learning. As I stated before in one of my discussion, then we grow and develop differently because we are all unique. In the process of adolescence we learn as traditional students, but as adults, many of us become nontraditional students. My experience of adulthood, I had many experiences and learned as I go. One of them was a reflection of my experience in education. I knew that a high school diploma was not enough and needed to search for more knowledge. In fact, as I continued my education (MAAL) it has helped me understand new theories on how experiences and learning work together. I came to understand that there is a relationship Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Research Experience I have proactively engaged in research activity throughout my undergraduate program. I had my first research experience in Dr. B Anand's lab, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, during my second year. The aim of the project was to study the non–fluorescent beta–barrel structured proteins and engineer its amino acid sequence to make them into fluorescent ones. Our approach was mainly based upon the studies of Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) from a jellyfish Aequorea victoria. Tools like Python programming language, Gromacs, Ribosome, PROSS, and Pymol were used to study the structural components of non–fluorescent proteins. I gained invaluable...show more content... I was challenged with cloning ydeH gene into the pJT118 plasmids which are green light sensitive. The ydeH gene produces a protein named diguanylate cyclase, which induces the production of c–di–GMP in Rosetta strain. This project gave me an opportunity to participate and win silver at International Bio–molecular design competition (BIOMOD) 2012 held at Wyss Institute, Harvard University, USA. Most of the molecular genetic techniques were extensively used in my project. During this internship, apart from gaining deeper technical experience, I realized that I could work on a research problem with a certain degree of independence, figuring out right approaches and proposing useful experiments. I acquired more confidence in my aptitude for research and it has been boosted while working on my undergraduate projects. As a part of my undergraduate thesis, I worked on a project 'Extraction and analysis of beauvericin, a mycotoxin produced by Beauveria bassiana and its cytotoxic effects on the SF–21 (immortalized pupal ovarian cells isolated from Spodoptera frugiperda) cell line' under the guidance of Dr. Gurvinder Kaur Saini, IIT Guwahati. Beauvericin metabolite was extracted from the Beauveria bassiana isolates UB17 and UB21, by using n–hexane extraction method and the presence of beauvericin was analyzed and confirmed with High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Mass spectroscopy (MS). • 8. Lived Experiences: A Nursing Case Study Introduction The purpose of this paper is to find meaning and understanding of lived experiences from obstetric patients that were involved in a nurse case management system during and after their high risk pregnancy. This group read through three transcripts in order to find major and minor themes that could provide lived experiences "something that is human so that we can better understand the meaning of being human, perhaps the fact that the responses to experiences are often similar may not be surprising" (Munhall, 2012, p. 120). The purpose of this paper will be achieved by the group's reflection, interpretation, and beliefs of what is believed to be the themes the researcher was trying to achieve. Method The method our group used to find common themes of lived experiences consisted of each group member repeatedly reading through...show more content... "He (the physician) yelled at me", "I was in and out of the hospital eight times during my pregnancy in false labor.", "I was in bed for three and a half weeks, could not move, could not walk, could not do nothing." Experiences of anxiety/fear over whether her pregnancy was progressing normally and the care she was receiving from her physician were expressed by Sue Ellen in interview two by stating "...maybe because we want her so much that maybe something will go wrong", "I was worried", "I wanted him to tell me whether I was at the point where I should you know worry about it". • 12. Sociology Career Research Paper The history of how society came about is very old but short, only emerging during the 19th century. Therefore, it is one of the youngest as well as one of the oldest of the social sciences. According to the American Sociological Association sociology is the study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. Sociologists investigate the structure of groups, organizations, and societies, and how people interact within these contexts. In comparison to other majors, sociology has a broad scope with relevance to research, theory, and application of knowledge. The goal is to enhance your chances of finding meaningful employment after graduation. First, decide what you want to do. A clear career goal is the essential first step of any career search. It doesn't have to be a lifetime goal, just a plan of action for now. The Career Services Center has many services available to help you identify an occupation you'd like to pursue. There are workshops and information sessions focusing on specific occupational areas, computerized career guidance programs, printed resources on various occupations, videotapes, and helpful advisers who can assist you in putting all the information together. Next get practical, work–related experience. For students who enter the job market, studies have shown that part–time practical experience is a significant factor of their college years that helped them to achieve success. Graduates who had such experience consistently show a lower unemployment rate, higher salaries, and better career potential for their jobs than those without it. Even if you decide to go on to graduate or professional school, admissions committees for advanced degrees favor candidates with such experience. In addition, practical experience can help you decide what you might like to do in the work force. By testing an occupation before committing to a full–time career, you can see if it suits you. • 14. Describe the research experiences you have had up to now. During the summer between my sophomore and junior year of undergrad at the University of South Carolina, I was accepted into the Ronald E. McNair Post–Baccalaureate Achievement Program. The program was my first introduction into the world of academic research and created a strong foundation for me to build upon as I moved forward. The application process for the program required me to create a research proposal, something that I had never attempted before. I began to understand the complexities of what I would be delving into during the summer. There was no clear direction about what questions to ask or what hypotheses to posit; it was all up to me and what I was interested in. I...show more content... Because of this there was a learning curve I had to overcome in order to conduct my research, but I feel that this on–hands learning greatly benefited me. By learning the software while using data that I had gathered and knew in–depth to conduct analyses that were crucial to my project, I believe that I came to understand the processes of the software much better than I would have in the classroom. My hypotheses for this project posited that areas with greater numbers of community service programs would have lower rates of crime, both violent and property. The results came to show a very different picture: areas with high crime rates had a greater number of programs, centralized around larger urban areas. These results initially confused me, but it became apparent that my hypothesis was based on the assumption that these community programs were enacted as preventative measures and preceded the high crime rate. Instead, these programs arose as a way to combat and counter the symptoms and byproducts that arise from higher crime rates. While these results were the opposite of what I had hypothesized, I was glad that they were so. It showed me the research does not always follow the path you believe it will and that the results you do get can show something more important than what you had hoped it would. I have presented my findings on several occasions, including at a national McNair symposium in Atlanta and at a global conference, The Ninth World Congress on Mental Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Throughout my writing experience or process I have struggled with writing especially using details or really expressing myself my work. In this course Facts & Fiction: Portraits in World Art I expect to gain more knowledge on how to write a perfect essay, story, letter, and assignment. I expect to learn new genres and rhetorical situations. I also think my writing will improve academically and I will develop my skills in writing. Also taking my writing to a different point of view, level, and writing something different rather than the usual. I look forward to getting feedback from my peers and learning their thoughts on my writing and how they can help me improve. Reading and writing were two things my parents use to always push me to improve and work on more often. They always told me they are the essentials of everything thing. Even though I disliked both at a young age as I grew older I preferred writing because I can always change the way I write and write from my point of view, really be creative with it and prove my point. Growing up I always loved writing short stories especially scary stories. I always was creative with them and even made them realistic. To write an essay I usually have a couple of steps writing an outline, and the thesis a draft and finally a final draft. The most difficult part about this is writing the thesis because the whole essay revolves the thesis because it summarizes the whole essay. At the end of some essays, I had to use citations to do that there were many websites that helped me cite sources such as easybib which was a really simple process. So, citing sources was one of the easiest things about writing the essay. Writing to a teacher is way more complex then writing to a fried or a family member. Writing to a teacher is way more complex, I must make sure that everything is on point or it reaches the state of protection. Which is having the right format, a great thesis and really conveying the point of the essay. Writing to a friend or a family member is much easier I usually don't focus on grammatic errors or writing a perfect thesis. Today some of us don't Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Whats were my most challenging high school experiences?. I have most definitely had some harsh times in high school, whether that's academically or socially. Some of the things that I struggled with in my high school experience was learning how to study, balancing work and school, and finding a group of people to call your own. One of my most challenging high school experiences were balancing study time. Staying organized enough to get everything done is a struggle. In class it is sometimes hard to know which notes are important or not. With there being more work and tests you have to have strong study skills. The biggest thing is that nobody is going to force you to study, its your decision alone. It's hard when you have assignments in different classes with the same deadline, but it can be made easier if you break it down into more manageable pieces. Reflection On The Learning Experience 2.0Situation Reflection (1000 words) 2.1Introduction Reflection is thought by linking recent experience with early experience to promote more complex and interrelated mental models or patterns. • 19. What I Have Learned About Research What I have learned about research is that it is a process, a scientific process that psychologist and scientist develop that includes many different approaches and that is carefully peer reviewed and evaluated. There is what is called the Scientific Approach where scientist have an idea or theory and based on their observation will either support the theory or the theory can be falsified by their peers. Data also goes through a review period before it is published in a scientific journal by scientist who have the knowledge and expertise to evaluate it. I also learned the difference between basic and applied research where basic research focuses mostly on things such as emotion, cognition, social behavior, personality development, learning, and neuropsychology. Basic research will be more helpful for answering fundamental questions about the nature of behavior. Applied research however, addresses more of a specific problem with a possible solution. Program evaluation covers a large area of applied research. Program evaluation assesses the social reforms and innovations that occur in government, education, the criminal justice system, industry, health care, and mental health institutions. When discussing behavioral research it is imperative to note the precedents that it has in many fields and the significance of the applications to public policy. • 21. My Teaching Experience Essay When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my first teaching practice. After completing a few observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many different things that will be helpful to me when I become a certified teacher someday. Although I could face many possible challenges in the classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of how the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom environment is for most instructors. In general, I believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and I learned a lot in such a brief period. The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect and relate theme content to real life situations inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore, during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs and that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies such as direct instruction, drill and practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with exchanges of opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations Get more content on HelpWriting.net
