This document describes an air pollution monitoring system called ECOSENSOR that was developed by students to detect gases and respond to fire incidents. The system continuously monitors air quality using sensors for smoke, carbon monoxide, LPG, and temperature. It sends alerts to nearby residents and firefighters if dangerous gas levels or a fire are detected. The system aims to provide quick response to incidents and raise awareness about safe gas levels through remote monitoring on a budget of Rs. 3500.
3. 1.Air Pollution
•Air pollution in both cities and rural areas is increasing
exponentially
2.Fire Accidents
•Fire accidents have caused lot of death and destruction.
Problems faced
4. 3.LPG leak accidents
•LPG leak is a risk factor at homes.
4.Remote monitoring of Gas concentration
•Continuous monitoring of gases is needed for awareness and
prevention.
5. 5.Global Warming
•Increased level of carbon in atmosphere is leading to more
global warming
6.Expensive Gas detectors
•only used in industries and mines
• cost is around 1 to 3 lakh Rs

21. Challenges faced How did we tackle it
Cost Reduction • Used Atmega16 instead of ARM
or Arduino,which is very cheap.
• Recyclable outer structure.
Programming Increased due to
choice of processor and PC software
Taking help from seniors and
computer department colleagues.
Increasing number of sensors Using Sensor Slots
