5. I will remind the students that today is exam day so they must put all their things away. I’ll
distribute the sheets face down so that they don’t rush to do the activities before I explain
them. I’ll tell them there are extra words in exercise B that do not have to be used. Besides,
they have to give a complete answer in exercise C. I’ll make sure they understand what they
have to do and ask if they have any questions.
TEST (35 minutes)
6. Extra Activity:
Students who finish early get to choose a game to play in pairs. They can choose between
playing the body parts memory game or playing with the true or false cards. I will tell them to
play silently so as not to disturb the others.
CLOSURE (7 minutes)
If there’s enough time, we will play Body Parts and Actions Charades. I will write some
animal body parts and actions on little pieces of paper and put them in a bag. This time I will
include some of the new vocabulary that we have been working on in our last lessons (swim,
go shopping, ride a horse, ride a bike, ride a motorcycle, play the guitar, play the piano, etc).
Students will take turns to take a piece of paper, read it and act the corresponding gesture
so that the rest of the class can guess which body part or action it is. The person who
guesses first, takes the piece of paper with him/her. The student with the most pieces of
paper at the end of the game wins.
After that, we all sing the goodbye song.
Lyrics:
“Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye sunshine,
It’s time to finish,
See you soon,
Goodbye, goodbye goodbye sunshine, goodbye sunshine,
Goodbye!”
