• The Act of Grooming is to make yourself look nice,neat and clean.
• The things which you do to make yourself & your appearance tidy
and pleasant.
• Your appearance influences the opinions of everyone around you.
• Your professionalism, intelligence and the people form in you,is
mainly due to your appearance.

Grooming affects the factors like wearing formal clothes,make-up’s,physical fitness and
personal hygiene.
Example: Grooming also reflects the personality of the person,well groomed person looks
confident.

12. SKIN CONSISTS OF 3 LAYERS
• EPIDERMIS: The outer layer having no blood vessels and nerve endings
• DERMIS: The layer below Epidermis with elastic fibre.
• HYPODERMIS :The layer below the dermis with fatty connective tissue with high H2O content.

14. NORMAL SKIN
Normal skin is not too dry and too oily.
It has:
• No fever imperfections.
• No sever sensitivity.
• Barely visible pores.
• A radiant complexion
15. DRY SKIN
• Almost invisible pores
• Dull, rough complexion
• Red patches
• Your skin is less elastic
• More visible lines
16. OILY SKIN
This skin type has open pores and an oily surface, with a tendency towards
pimples, blackheads and a sallow appearance.
Oily substance called sebum by the oil glands in the lower layers of the skin.
Unfortunately this skin type is one of the most prone to acne.
Good news is that this oiliness will make your skin stay younger looking for
longer.
The main concern of an oily skin is to keep it oil free, clean and fresh in order
to prevent acne.
17. My Skin type
I have a Combination skin type.
As the name implies it is a combination of the dry and oil skin types.
The T-zone is usually oily (forehead,nose,chin) while other parts are
Dry/flaky.
I choosed foaming gel or gel cleansers formulated for my skin type.
And when it comes to moisturizers- one for the T-zone & one for the dry
areas,especially the cheecks.

19. Normal Hair
Normal hair is neither greasy nor dry.
Normal hair holds its style and look most of the time perfect.
Oily Hair
Oily hair are very greasy which accumulate oil on your hair and
scalp.
Oily hair basically looks very sticky.
20. Dry Hair
Dry hair don’t have enough moisture and oil to maintain its normal texture.
Dry hair are basically very rough textured.
Very difficult to comb.
Combination hair
Combination hair are neither greasy nor dry.
It looks like normal hair, overly porous.
Difficult to comb in wet hair and dry hair
21. My hair type
• I have a combination hair.
• Combination is the normal and dry hair
• I use frizz control product to stop frizzy hair.
• I also use a deep conditioner at least once a week.
• I shampoo alternative days.
• I don’t use comb in wet hair.
26. WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO PRESENT YOURSELF AS A PROFESSIONAL
IN AN INTERVIEW
• It is very important to present yourself as professional because the
organization has to be convinced that you are mature
• A well groomed personality speaks value about your character
• The first impression is the last impression
27. CONCLUSION
I am very thankful to the Frankfinn Institute for giving me the
opportunity to learn how to be groom well and to develop Personality,
Communication Skill and well mannered and to respect time.
I have learned how to maintain and improve skin, hair and to be well
groomed.
I am extremely thankful to our Grooming Teacher our guidance, our
support Mrs. Sonam to make us learn how to groom well. I thank you for
making me learn all this.
