• Improper sanitization • Lack of road facility
• Water scarcity • Absence of bathroom
facility
This village have more than
2-3 water tanks but not in
use, they have not properly
maintained, not even clean
those water.
School students, employees
who work outside the town
spend a lot in reaching their
destinations daily.
There is no proper transport
facilities to connect to the
village, government buses
are operated people have to
walk, ask for lift for 7-8km to
reach the main town of
Kanchipuram.
The village lack access to
basic amenities such as
good roads, portable and
safe drinking water,
qualified schools, functional
electricity, efficacious and
sustainable healthcare, and
everyday essential
groceries and vegetables.
LIMITATION OF THE STUDY
Low population density
Unfavorable age structure
No transportation facility available to conduct study
Damaged Roads made our travel as worse
Insufficient development of small and medium-sized enterprises
in all sectors
Low living standard
The poor state of rural infrastructure
SOLUTION FOR
PROBLEM
• IMPROPER SANITATION
Residents pay for affordable and safe sanitation services , Local stakeholders pay for
the collection and processing of waste , Waste from toilets is processed into bio-energy
and organic fertilizer, which are sold to local farmers
• LACK OF INPROPER ROAD
Streets trigger economic activity, attracting shops, services and increased residents’
identity with their place of residence, bringing an enhanced sense of security and
orderly development. The introduction of public lighting and mixed use along a street’s
route is likely to bring more usage and social interactions amongst residents with
positive impacts on the sense of public safety. Street naming and house numbering
establish physical addresses and locations, enabling residents to gain an address and
postal code, the first steps in gaining citizenship rights.
.
• LACK OF ROAD FACILITY
Streets trigger economic activity, attracting shops, services and increased
residents’ identity with their place of residence, bringing an enhanced
sense of security and orderly development. The introdhhnmemsnsnbsbsbuction of public
lighting and mixed use along a street’s route is likely to bring more usage
and social interactions amongst residents with positive impac
• WATER SCARCITY
Installing special tanks that store rainwater for irrigation
Using drip irrigation for more efficient watering
Starting seed banks to distribute local seeds more tolerant to extreme droughts
and rainfall
• ABSENCE OF BATHROOM FACILITIES
A toilet block is a constructed common bathroom facility with seats ranging
from 5 to 25. It can either be accessible to the general public (public blocks)
or
have restricted use to within a community or slum (community blocks).
Infrastructure maintenance, given the cement based construction of the
block,
makes up the major portion of expenses while the salary of the toilet
caretaker
is the other large component
