was no differences between the rich and
poor, and the means of production was
controlled and owned by the state.
b) Why was communism
introduced? (3)
So that the state becomes only the
employer. To get rid of the
differences between the rich and the
poor. To control the means of
production and distribution of the
resources. The political power to be
held by a strong central government
[communist party].
c) How important was the introduction of
communism to the Chinese rulers? Explain

communism was applied in China. (5)
It focused on the construction of infrastructure; it
divided the country into six regions; the communist

of the state; land was given to the poor; new marriage
laws formed; all banks were closed only the People’s
Bank was allowed to operate; railway network and
heavy industries were put under the state.
g) How did the USA feel about the
communism in China? Explain your answer.
(5)
Different USA People felt differently. Most of the
Americans were not happy because China would spread
communism across Asia and Europe. USA would lose its
influence around the world. The power to rule would be
centralized among the few party leaders only.
Some were happy because they believed that every nation
had the right to decide its own future.
Thank you!
