Muhammad is considered the final prophet in Islam. He received revelations from God through the Angel Jibril that were compiled into the Qur'an. Muhammad was born in Mecca in the 6th century AD among the Quraysh tribe who worshipped many gods. After marrying Khadijah and receiving revelations on the Night of Power, Muhammad began preaching monotheism, angering Meccan leaders. He later migrated to Medina to escape persecution and eventually defeated the Quraysh in battle, establishing Islam.
