This document discusses teacher autonomy and accountability. “Accountability” has many meaning for political leader
educational official teachers, parents, community etc.
Accountability is multifaceted. It involves
responsibility authority education and control.
7. The teacher must:
1. Attend the morning assembly daily on time.
2. Address the students on moral principle, social
and environmental issues.
3. Follows the conducts rule notified in CCS
(conduct) rules 1964 and CSC (CCA) rules 1965.
8. 4. Maintain the teacher’s diary regularly
with the lesson plan.
5. Reach the class on time for teaching.
6. Teacher must make best use of the
TLM money and pupils fund to
develop relevant teaching learning
material.
7. Teacher must evaluate the student
time to time.
9. In the class, the teacher should:
1. Prepare well each and every aspects of the
lesson before the delivery of the lesson.
2. Motivate the students before actual delivery
of the lesson.
3. Link the topic with previous knowledge of
the students.

5. Use of combination of different
method and techniques of teaching.
6. Give activity / application - based
work / assignment beyond the book,
with guidance to use various
resources and keep a record of the
work given.
7. Maintain punctuality and discipline.
11. The Class Teacher Must:
1. Conduct regular meeting and discuss the
method to improve performance of the
students.
2. Appoint monitors for different duties.
3. Display clearly the time table of the class.
4. Create a learning environment for the student
by decorating the board with noble work of
great personality to inspire students.

Accountable teacher is making changes to
lesson or activities on the fly because of
situation or problem.

Going the extra mile to ensure that every
student is successful no matter what.

Recognizing that your students have problem
outside of the school and making the necessary
adjustment to help them through those issue.
4. Dedicated
Showing up every day and spending the
necessary time to provide your students with the
best education.
5. Determined
Finding any means necessary to reach all
students no matter the challenge.

Being sensitive to students struggles even though you
may not personally be able to relate to them.
7. Forgiving
Quickly putting incidents with students, parents or
other teachers behind you so that it does not impact
your teaching.
8. Joyful
Coming to class each day in a good mood, excited
and enthusiastic about doing your job.

motivates and inspire.

The ability to get others around you to
believe in you and what you are doing.
