2. Story Begins…….
Sarpanch, Nayana Chhualsingh presided over the meeting. She
addressed the children that discipline and learning are the most
important things to form and take forward any group and hope
children’ of her panchayat to excel the best. Secretary, Sahayog
discussed the aim and objectives of the club and asked children
about their intention in forming club in own Panchayat. 50
children participated in the program and show their solidarity
towards the club. Youth leader of the G.P Basant Swain and
Sukant Chhualsingh were also present in the program.
Representative from IHRE present and support in the
facilitation process.

After initial discussion in two phases with teachers, community
people and children it was decided to seat on 30th March 2016
at Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra Hall of Panchupalli, G.P. Ignoring
the heat sun wave children reached in the hall before time and
wait for others. They were happy and eager to congregate more
friends. Bikash Das, Santosh Jena, Alibha all the young
volunteers helped a lot to paste posters on the wall. Fit the
banner and stickers. Before all participants and invitees reached
the place they sat around the facilitator to know what they
have to do in next.

3. Storytelling and sharing on child rights…….

Ex Sarpanch of the G.P Sukanti Behera took the lead and
support in organizing the program. Dhirendra Barik,
Headmaster Panchayat High School, Mahul, Subhalaxmi
Pradhan, Arti Nayak teachers of Anagarpada School,
Parmananda Behera, Kailsh Ch. Naik of Karadapalli, David
Ku. Swain from Minchinpatana support a lot in the
endeavor.
Both children and their guardians were quite enthusiast
about the program. Siba Prasad, Yogamayee, Suchitra,
Jayanti, Mamali, Sangram and along with other children
were very active and opined to make the club stronger
with more members as well as with strong leadership to
unite for child rights.
It was fixed they will seat fortnightly and in the beginning
Sahayog has to present for smooth running of the club.
Teachers and village people will come to the club and
guide them whenever possible.
We are here as change maker………….

dropout children in hamlet
tribal villages. Early child
marriage, migrant labor
and alcohol are the major
problem in the
panchayats. Majority of
people are daily wage
earners.

On 30th March 2016 a community meeting for the formation
of club convened by Golekh Bihari Prusty former President
of Village Committee in Arang. Mrutyunjaya Sahoo a young
volunteer read out the Human Right Education Book and
discussed with children. In the presence of community
leaders, teachers and youth volunteers children selected
their President, Vice President, Secretary and two Asst
Secretary along with a 12 members Executive committee
representing both boys and girls from each community. An
Advisory group formed with active community leaders.
Kailash Ch. Pradhan Retired Govt. Employee, Bibhuti Das
School Management Committee Chairman and other
community leaders, young volunteers expressed their desire
along with club memebrs to take an initiative with door to
door campaign for admission of all children in School.

with tribal, schedule caste,
Muslim, Christian and
general class peoples. The
place where club formed
Aranga village is cut off
from the main Panchayat
by forest land. Many of
them dropped out from
education once they
passed school education in
own village.
5. The Community Child Rights club in Balianta formed at
Cyclone Centre of the Panchayat. Interestingly the most
spirited Child Right Volunteer of 1st phase Suchismita Singh
with her two friends were there.
The meeting presided by Prasant Sahoo, Sarpanch of Balianta
Gram Panchayat. Who have had a quite long experience in
human right base work and committed towards the principle.
Bijayalaxmi Rautaray, Secretary of Sahayog, Pradipta Nayak
Regional Coordinator of Institute of Human Right Education
along with Bipin Bihari Sahoo and Bikram Kumar Swain
facilitate the process of club formation. More than 50 children
members formed their club and committed to seat every
fortnight. Dipti Kant Sutar Human Rights teacher of the School
took the responsibility to facilitate and play the role of advisor
along with Sarpanch Prasant Kumar Sahoo and Suchismita.
