2. Introduction
• Bharti Foundation
– Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies.
– The prime objective is to bridge the existing education divide and make quality
education accessible to underprivileged children in rural India.
– The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country
realize their potential.
• Satya Bharti School Program
– The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation.
– It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus
on the girl child across rural India.
– Present Operational Status:
• Number of Schools Operational: 254
• States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh &
Tamil Nadu
• Number of Students Enrolled: Over 38,000
3. About the Community
• Geographical Location: It is established in village Dand, Amer in dist.-
Jaipur Raj
• Cultural Background: People are very poor, They based on
agriculture or daily labor. Its part of desert area of Rajasthan
• Role of Satya Bharti School in the Village: The of Satya Bharti
School is as a Model School of the village, It’s a learning temple.
• Participation in ‘Design for Giving’ School Contest: School
participated in Design for Giving for ‘Consumer rights’
4. We ‘Felt’:
• Mostly people of the village are illiterate and does not know their
rights.
• Especially women got victimizes of fraud due to lack of
awareness of consumer right.
• A case also taken place in the village where a girl got admission
in a collage and submit the fee also for whole year but in mid
session the collage denied to continue and also not returned her
fee.
• People need to know their right as consumer right but they were
not know what we have to do and where we should apply.
5. We ‘Imagined’:
Students decide to organize a work shop in school to aware the
people of village where they can tell them their right and nobody
can does fraud with them.
8. Impact on Community:
• After the workshop and rally the people realize that they have so
many rights and now they are just taking the bills when they are
purchasing some thing from the market.
• They are purchasing the seeds and manure with ISI mark.
• If they feel some difficulty in purchasing anything they are referring
the school and students.
• Students referring the consumer right books to be aware about it.
9. Impact on Us:
• When the students are helping the villagers they are
also building their knowledge through information
transmission.
10. Experience of Community Members & Teachers:
• “I saw that soft hand of our children can change in society very
well, Our school children have done great here.” ( Mr. Babulal jangir)
• “Our children have successes to convey the message of
consumer rights.” (Sanjay chiranji lal raigar)
• Children have giving information's for awareness in this
area.” (Mr. Natwar Sandhu )
• School ke bachhon bahut achha kaam kiya hai, . (community
member)
• “Bachhon ne hume pani ke liye jagruk kar diya hai, maine apne
kheton me med bandi kar di hai.” ( Community member.)
