Havells' earlier visual identity was rigid and lacked discipline. It restricted the Brand's adaptability across
mediums and touch points and also lent it subpar perceptions. We partnered with Havells to transform their
visual identity to deal with these challenges.
Our design effort translated the brand's leadership and ever-expanding breadth and depth of products to its
visual identity. The rounded H icon depicted the brand's footprint on the entire globe and perfectly described
the brand's spirit– modern, dynamic, and dependable.
Today, Havells is one of the largest & India's fastest growing Fast Moving Electrical Goods Manufacturer and
Marketer with an enviable global footprint. And we are proud to have played a small, yet critical part in the
brand's inspirational journey.

In a country where its demopgraphics had undergone dramatic changes, with
he majority of Indians below 30 years of age, Havells’s Visual Identity was
conservative & outdated- especially in front of the international competition.
The logo was a rigid and limiting triangle. And the others in the switchgear
business too had taken on a similar logo. By default, the form had become
the industry logo. Standing out in the clutter was a big challenge.
All of this was having a big drag on the business as the brand looked to
pursue rapid growth through both- the organic as well as the inorganic
routes.
There was an urgent need to present Havells as a brand for the young
generation, which was more educated, street smart, savvy, confident,
ambitious and better-off.

The Havells logo reflects the new Identity of the brand, and also the group
in the twenty first century
The ”global H” has a 3D effect which is representative of Havell’s leadership,
the ever expanding breadth of its products and services, and its global
presence
The simplicity of form delivers easy recall and aids application across
various mediums and formats
The red colour denotes continuity from the past
The symmetrical form cues stability and maturity
The ample curves on the H are indicative of a dynamic, contemporary and
a global brand

Colour System
Accurate reproduction of the HAVELLS red is essential in communicating a clear and
consistent message about the brand. Building a strong correlation of colour with the
HAVELLS brand is critical to strengthen brand awareness. HAVELLS red must be used to
identify high-level corporate communications.
Size and Proportion (A)
HAVELLS Icon (oval ‘H’) as well as HAVELLS Logo unit is not a perfect square form. The width
of the logo is slightly more than the height. HAVELLS logo unit is also more in width. And it is
important to produce the logo in its exact form, since it is critical to the Brand image. Always
verify logo proportions with the measurement given in the diagram alongside.

HAVELLS logo must always be surrounded by an area, which is entirely clear of typography
and any other graphic elements. The minimum exclusion area, shown here in example 1, is
made up of the width and height of the HAVELLS logo blocks at the chosen size.

2007 with the acquisition of Sylvania Globally. This involved lot of challenges and changes at
Havells. One such change that was sought was in changing the Logo of the company to keep pace

  • 3. Havells' earlier visual identity was rigid and lacked discipline. It restricted the Brand's adaptability across mediums and touch points and also lent it subpar perceptions. We partnered with Havells to transform their visual identity to deal with these challenges. Our design effort translated the brand's leadership and ever-expanding breadth and depth of products to its visual identity. The rounded H icon depicted the brand's footprint on the entire globe and perfectly described the brand's spirit– modern, dynamic, and dependable. Today, Havells is one of the largest & India's fastest growing Fast Moving Electrical Goods Manufacturer and Marketer with an enviable global footprint. In a country where its demopgraphics had undergone dramatic changes, with he majority of Indians below 30 years of age, Havells’s Visual Identity was conservative & outdated- especially in front of the international competition. The logo was a rigid and limiting triangle. And the others in the switchgear business too had taken on a similar logo. By default, the form had become the industry logo. Standing out in the clutter was a big challenge. All of this was having a big drag on the business as the brand looked to pursue rapid growth through both- the organic as well as the inorganic routes. There was an urgent need to present Havells as a brand for the young generation, which was more educated, street smart, savvy, confident, ambitious and better-off.   • 20. Colour System Accurate reproduction of the HAVELLS red is essential in communicating a clear and consistent message about the brand. Building a strong correlation of colour with the HAVELLS brand is critical to strengthen brand awareness. HAVELLS red must be used to identify high-level corporate communications. Size and Proportion (A) HAVELLS Icon (oval ‘H’) as well as HAVELLS Logo unit is not a perfect square form. The width of the logo is slightly more than the height. HAVELLS logo unit is also more in width. And it is important to produce the logo in its exact form, since it is critical to the Brand image. Always verify logo proportions with the measurement given in the diagram alongside. Size and Proportion (B) HAVELLS logo must always be surrounded by an area, which is entirely clear of typography and any other graphic elements. The minimum exclusion area, shown here in example 1, is made up of the width and height of the HAVELLS logo blocks at the chosen size.
