Company Profile: India Power Corporation Limited (DPSCL) is involved in the generation,
transmission and distribution of H.T (upto 33 KV) power in Asansol –Raniganj area since 1919.It possess a
licensed area of 618 sq. Kms. serving power in collieries of Eastern Coalfields Limited, the Railways,
WBSEDCL, Steel and Cement plants, Sponge Iron plants ,Engineering Industries and Townships. Recently
it had started expanding its Generation, Power Handling Capacity and Distribution Licensing Area by
building 220/33 KV, 33/11 KV sub-stations and Thermal Power Plants. DPSC Limited had also spread its
wings in the Solar Power Plant Projects and Domestic Power Sector. In recent times it has built a 2 MW
Grid Connected Photo Voltaic Solar Power Plant in joint venture with WBGEDCL. (The first one in India)
