The scope of the project is preliminary and detailed design
for 120 MLD Water Treatment Plant. The key Process units
include Flocculation, Clarifiers, Filters, chlorination tank,
Treated water reservoir, Treated water pump station,
Waste wash water tank and clarifier, Sludge lagoons etc.
As a Lead Electrical design engineer and checker, Vithal
was involved in reviewing the various Electrical deliverables
such as Load list and Maximum Demand calculation, Single
Line Diagram, Power substation Layout, Electrical
Equipment Layout, Cable route Layout, Indoor & Outdoor
lighting design and Layouts, Earthing design and Layouts
etc. at the Preliminary design stage.
Thane Municipal Corporation- Underground Sewage
Scheme Phase-II (Kalwa), India
The scope of the project was design to construct three
Sewage Treatment Plants of average capacities 8.45 MLD,
22.2 MLD, 23.06 MLD under Jawaharlal Nehru National
Urban Renewal Mission (JNNRUM) for Thane Municipal
Corporation (Mumbai). The key Process units include Inlet
works, Moving Bed Bio Reactor (MBBR), Claritube Settler,
UV units and outfall, Sludge collection and dewatering
centrifuge units. As a design checker and reviewer, Vithal
was involved in reviewing the various Electrical deliverables
such as Load list and Maximum Demand calculation, Single
Line Diagram, 22kV Substation Layout, Electrical
Equipment Layout, Cable route Layout, Indoor & Outdoor
lighting design and Layouts, Earthing and Lightning
protection design and Layouts etc. at the Outline design
stage and Detailed design stage.
United Utilities, UK- PR14-Level 1 assessment
The scope was Electrical Discipline price review for various
Wastewater Treatment Plants and Clear Water Capital
maintenance schemes. I was responsible for Electrical
Load assessment, MCC sizing, Energy consumption
calculation and producing level1 report.
Kyogle Council, Australia- Kyogle Water Supply
Augmentation
The objective of the Kyogle water supply augmentation
project is to provide supply at an acceptable level of service
now and into the future in terms of reliability, quantity and
quality of water supply. The augmentation project includes
the increase of available potable water supply to 4.5 ML/d. I
am the Lead Electrical Engineer and is responsible for

Unitywater, Australia- SPS Generator Installation
Unitywater proposed to install standby diesel Generator
sets for three Sewage Pumping Stations (Coolum SPS
CLM091, Noosa Heads SPS NHD009 and Tewantin SPS
TWN001) on the Sunshine Coast to avoid the risk of
environmental discharges in the event of prolonged power
outages. I was responsible for co-ordination and local
checking of Power and Control Schematics, Cable block
diagrams, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) GA and
preparation of technical specification.
Googong Township IWC, Australia- Bulk Water Pump
Station, Off-take and Reservoir Project
Googong Township IWC proposed to set up a BWPS (Bulk
water pumping station) project. Googong proposed to
operate the potable water and recycled water systems
together to meet the water consumptions needs for the new
Googong development. As part of the detail design of the
BWPS, this pumping station will be used to supply the
potable and recycled water demands. Worked as local
project technical lead for Electrical and was responsible for
co-ordination, timely delivery of the documents / drawings. I
was involved in the design and detailed engineering of
electrical system including preparation of Single Line
Diagram (SLD), Switchboard/Distribution Board (DB) GA,
conduit layouts, lighting design and layout etc.
Auckland Council, New Zealand- Auckland
Transportation Lighting Design
This project involved assessment/review of existing lighting
levels and preparation of lighting design and drawings as
per NZ standards for various minor safety works for
Auckland Transportation. I was responsible for co-
ordination & local checking of Lighting Design and drawings
for various Auckland Transportation schemes like
Cannaught street, Motions road and Great North road-
Intersection, Mission-Heilers Bay and Takaparawha,
Pilkington road, Denbigh Ave and Dominion road etc.

Water Works Project
This project involved detailed engineering and construction
of 60mgd water works and raw water pumping station. I
was involved in preparation of Single line Diagrams (SLDs)
for raw water pumping station and water treatment plant.
My role was to prepare the load list based on the P&IDs,
Equipment list, estimate the cable lengths from layouts and

(Ras Laffan Industrial City) for a period of 5 months &
worked as Specialist Electrical Engineer for 220/33 kV &
33/0.415 kV Substations. Work involved review of
Engineering & Vendor drawings and preparation of
equipment, lighting, cabling & earthing layouts.
