What is CSR ?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to transparent business
practices that are based on ethical values, compliance with legal
requirements, and respect for people, communities, and the environment.
The company is committed to undertake CSR activities in accordance with
the provisions of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 and read
together with the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy)

• Corporate Social Responsibility is required for all companies viz.
private limited company, limited company.
The following companies are necessary to constitute a CSR
committee:
Companies with a net worth of Rs. 500 crores or greater, or
Companies with a turnover of Rs. 1000 crores or greater, or
Companies with a net profit of Rs. 5 crores or greater.

• BMW Children’s Traffic Safety Education (CTSE) is
a BMW expert CSR program that targets children’s road
safety in China, and aims to improve children and adults’
road safety awareness through simulation-based learning,
fixed experiential center adventures, new media as well as
other interactive teaching methods that combine playing
and learning.
• Leveraging its core competencies to respond to the
society’s hottest topics, BMW became a pioneer – creating
the first and longest-running children’s road safety CSR
program in China.

• BMW China Culture Journey is a BMW iconic CSR

• BMW JOY Home is a BMW exclusive stakeholder
engagement program tailored especially to help left-
behind children in China’s underdeveloped areas.

development opportunities using the “Joyful Sports”
model.
