Stick to boundaries and honour commitment
Results
Patients take this responsibility very
seriously, treating the option as a golden
ticket and we have had promising results.

  • 16. www.promise.global Open Door Patients who have always felt that they have to fight against the system. 0 1 We often say that we are on their side but our actions indicate otherwise. 0 2 No questions asked is an important principle, so patients do not have to justify. 0 3 Seeking help proactively without self harming is incentivized with the open door 0 4 Important to remember that this is not a panacea for everyone and in some cases, the option had to be withdrawn 0 5 ForWhom Severe Personality Disorder Repeated attendance at A&E / 136 / Crisis Past history of long admissions Whydoit To reduce the scenario where patients take greater risks to communicate their distress due to “not being heard.” Onoffer Establish a risk sharing partnership by which patients can opt to have a 2 day and 2 night admission on the AAU. Conditions Encouraged to engage with PD service No self harm prior to and during admission Stick to boundaries and honour commitment Results Patients take this responsibility very seriously, treating the option as a golden ticket and we have had promising results.
