ACADEMIC ENGINEERING PROJECTS
Senior Design Project, October 2014
- Collaborated with four students to design a test measure the failure rate of an adhesive film, a product of Entrotech.
- Tested the film under different conditions:dwell temperature, dwell time, peel rate, prestress.
- Response for data collection and documentation throughout experiment.
- Found adhesive films had high failure rate in high prestress and high temperature conditions .
- Presented the results to professor, class, and company.
Unit Operation Lab, May 2014
- Collaborated with three students to conduct four biotechnology experiments including: liquid-liquid extraction,
plate heat ex-changer, mixing dynamic, adsorption.
- Collected and documented data throughout each experiment.
- Utilized MATLAB and CHEMCAD to scale-up the unit in order to predict a real-life production efficiency.
- Inspected eight other supplemental experiments widely used in chemical production.
Ventilator Simulation Design project, October - November, 2013
- Design a ventilator model, simulated an air flow in a room.
- Utilized COMSOL to draw the geometry of a room including a ventilator; generated a flow profile of the
air in the room.
- Provided the documentation throughout the project, delivered a presentation to the whole classmates.
Advanced Energy Vehicle Designed Project, February - April, 2013
- Collaborated with two students to build a small autonomous, electric motor-powered, propeller-driven vehicle
that maneuvered along a monorail track system.
- Utilized MATLAB and Arduino to control the vehicle velocity and moving direction.
