EXPERIENCE
Structures and Logistics Sub-Team Leader CA, USA
Global TIES Fiji Kindergarten Project January 2015-current
§ Lead a team of 8 structural and environmental engineers to design the interior support for the infrastructure
for a 20’x 8’ shipping container for a kindergarten projected to be built by 2016 in Taveuni, Fiji.
§ Assessed various chemical and physical safety measurements geared towards children’s usage of the
infrastructure.
§ Completed 70% of the design with construction manual within 6 months and improved structure stability
and support by 40%.
Water Treatment Project Intern Mexicali, Mexico
Skyworks Solutions Inc June 2015-July 2015
§ Proposed a preliminary process design and estimating cash flow for a $40,000 pretreatment for the
Hydranautics Ultrafiltration water purification system. The estimated savings was $440,000 annually.
§ Evaluated correlation between the water turbidity and SDI test for the UF feed water to ensure reliability of
membrane life projection.
Team Captain CA, USA
Robotics Soccer Competition April 2014-June 2014
§ Designed a 10in x10in x10in robot over 3 months with AutoCAD, Inventor and Lasercamm to compete a
robotics soccer competition against 24 teams. The robot placed 10th
in the competition.
§ Robot function includes wheel motion control traveling approx. 50 cm per second, horizontally extendable
arms approx. extending 17.8 cm , lift elevating upper base 13 cm higher.
§ Increase team fabrication productivity by developing timeline and project managing the production of the
robot and oversaw each member’s work process and facilitated the each component’s production.
Programming, Monitoring, Education Committee Lead CA, USA
Engineers Without Borders, UCSD September 2013 – December 2013
§ Lead a team of 10 multidisciplinary engineering students to design a rainwater catchment system in order
to provide clean water for a village of 300 in Rwanda.
§ Co-organized a fundraiser marathon of 50+ participants and raised over $1000.
§ Utilized weather, health data of the targeted area to incorporate necessary water filtration and tank designs
