PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Newell Brands – Tools Segment: Lenox (East Longmeadow, MA)
Industrial Engineer (Contract) February 2016 – Present
Coordinated all process flow and documentation for Project Airstream. Valued at $10 million, the project optimized resources by
integrating the manufacturing processes of similar product families within Lenox and Irwin Tools.
Created ISO-9001 certified training, operating and reference documentation to be used for training and day to day operation, as
well as detailed safety and preventative maintenance documentation to ensure a safe and functional workplace.
Trained cell members in improving process flow, line layout, safety, and quality problem resolution, promoting critical thinking
and problem solving skills.
Assessed the risks pertaining to each task and created safety documentation to conduct a thorough job safety analysis for each
machine and process.
Collaborated within cross-functional teams to develop infrastructure (machine rates, routing, bill of materials) to manufacture
multiple product families at a single new facility.
Accurately determined new machine rates and the expected scrap for each new process through First Run Yield/Overall
Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), detailed time studies and value added analysis.
Established a test run system with the quality team to verify the capability of all equipment for both product families.
Conducted a Process Failure Modes and Analysis (PFMEA) of the production of the two product families.
Addressed ergonomic issues relating to repetitive motion, cumulative trauma disorders, and general workplace safety.
Utilized Design of Experiment (DOE) techniques to identify key variables and measure impact of process changes, reducing
process variation.
Hazen Paper Company (Holyoke, MA)
Planner/Receiving May 2015 – February 2016
Pre-planned and built all work orders for production in five plant locations.
