 These clubs bring together young people ages
12-18 to develop leadership skills while

 Every Interact club carries out two service projects a year: one that
helps their school or community and one that promotes international
understanding.
 Clubs meet at least twice a month and are sponsored by their local
Rotary club.
 When you sponsor an Interact club, you’re helping young people:
 Connect with community leaders
 Develop leadership skills
 Make international connections
 Discover more opportunities to connect with Rotary, including Rotaract,
RYLA, and Youth Exchange

24. Rotary Youth Exchange - Duration
 Long-term exchanges last a full academic year, and
students attend local schools and live with multiple
host families.
 Short-term exchanges last from several days to
three months and are often structured as camps,
tours, or homestays that take place when school is
not in session.

25. Rotary Youth Exchange - Cost
 Room and board are provided, as well as any school
fees.
 Each program varies, but students are usually
responsible for:
Round-trip airfare
Travel insurance
Travel documents (such as passports and visas)
Spending money and any additional travel or tours

26. Rotary Youth Exchange - Types
 This is another type of Youth Exchange
 New Generations Exchange :
It is a short term exchange last 3 to 6 weeks and
are open to young people ages 18 to 25.
This program may include vocational training.
