Recent horror film about teenagers who use a Ouija
board to contact their deceased friend, but are horrified to
find that they awaken dark spirits instead.
2. Teaser Poster
This teaser poster doesn’t give much away, only the name itself
and the object. The fact that the name of the film is ‘Ouija’ already
gives the audience a good idea about the film’s genre. Ouija
boards are well-known objects which are notorious for contacting
the dead.
The colour scheme also conforms to the horror genre as it is
red/orange, which could also connote ancient objects, linking back
to the board itself. This is all the information we can gather.
3. Main Poster
The main poster for this film is a
lot more informative as it has
people in it, obviously the board
again, the title of the film, and
also the release date and the
producers. This poster is fuelling
the main campaign for
advertising for the film, therefore
needs to include more
information than the ‘teaser’
trailer.

This trailer is the first one which was aired to the public. It
includes basic information as to the basis of the storyline,
and also an introduction to the characters.
This trailer would have been circulated as an introduction,
however not as much as the main trailer would be.

This is the second trailer to be aired and includes more shots
of the film.
The more shots in the trailer gives more information to the
audience, therefore more promotion for the release of the
film.

The BBFC was the distributor for the film ‘Ouija’.
On the opening weekend, the
film made almost four times as
much as what it cost to produce
the film along with distribution
and promotion costs.
