2. Marketing Campaign.
Me, Earl and the Dying Girl was originally a novel; this
allowed it to have a fanbase ready-made. The film’s trailer
was released on April 8th 2015, and its official poster was
released on April 20th. In May, two clips from the film were
released, and the international trailer was also released.
The movie’s tie-in book edition also followed suit.
3. Box Office.
The Budget for Me, Earl and the Dying Girl was $8mil, but
the intake at the Box Office was only $9.1mil.
It made $364,039 on its opening weekend in the USA,
and grossed $6.74mil in the USA.
One of the reasons behind its success is due to the prior
release of The Fault In Our Stars.
