Motivation
What preventive measures do you practice at
home to be away from the COVID-19?
Class, were you able to go somewhere to enjoy
your summer vacation or since the day that we
had our lockdown?
What about if some members of your family
especially your parents, go out and work for
your living, what do they do when they come
home?heart?
Now kids, if you will be given the chance to
roam around the country in this time of
Pandemic, would you still chose to go? Why
not?
What about if you will just stay at home, what
will happen?
So, today class I want to share to you a
testimony from a COVID-19 survivor. I took this
flash story from the google which was published
last March 7, 2020. But before we will proceed
on reading it, will you tell what the Magic word
again is?
(Let them mention the acronym given for the word
COVID)
Class, before reading the story, I want you to
take note of this question which will be
answered by you later.
Motive Question
Why did Mr. Carlo Navarro vow to spread
COVID-19 awareness?
The Promise

Carlo Navarro, his wife and his 15-year-old
daughter visited Japan in February. They knew
they were taking a chance with coronavirus, but
thought they would be spared if they
precautions. They wore masks and gloves and
always had alcohol handy to sanitize their hands.
Presentation
But Navarro, a 48-year-old tax lawyer began
showing symptoms after they returned home.
He was the fourth case in the Philippines, but
the first Filipino to be confirmed with the
disease.
An enhanced community quarantine has
been in place since March 16 in the northern
third part of the country, which nationwide had
636 cases with 38 deaths and 26 recoveries from
Navarro is among those who have recovered
and as someone who felt he had been close to
death, he has vowed to spread awareness.

simply looking at the data?
Let’s move back on the news, will you read the
underlined words?

Very good, they are personal
pronouns.
(ask them when to use these personal pronouns- He, She, It,
They, We, Her,Them etc)
Now, will you give me your own sentences using
the different personal pronouns.
(Let all the pupils give their own
sentences)
Direction: Connect the sentences in every number by
using connecting words then change the underlined
noun into personal pronoun.
Individual Activity
Example:
Heart did not finish her modules on the given
time.
Teacher scolded her.
Ans: She did not finish her modules in the given
time as a result her teacher scolded her.

Generalizations
What is the use of personal pronouns,
class?
In our story today class, pretend that you are
Mr. Navarro, how could you help spread Covid-
19 awareness to others?
Is it nice to have those social media platforms
nowadays guys?
Application
This time I will divide you into 3 groups but
before that, will you tell the magic word again
class?
Let’s use the different and the most popular
media platforms that we have now a days.
Who has an active and has many followers in
their Tiktok accounts? You stay together.
How about those who loves watching in the
youtube? Stay together, too.
May I also know, who among you loves
spending his/her leisure time in browsing the
most in demand platform, facebook? Stay in
one place together.
Before I will give the mechanics of your activity,
will you think of a name that could best fit your
group.
Direction: Every group will be given an envelope and
inside it is the direction on what will your group do.
Group 1- You will be performing the “Baso’t
Kutsara tiktok dance. From your performance
you will make 5 sentences using the different
personal pronouns that you learned.
Group 2- You will be making your own
travelogue just around our school. From the
travelogue you will be formulating 5 sentences
using the different personal pronouns.
Group 3- You will be making a caption about
our school’s latest achievement on BE. In your
caption, it must compose of not less than 5
sentences using personal pronouns.

Now class, let’s do the next activity.
I have here with me your favourite travel buddy, Dora
the Explorer!
She wants you to help her pick the things she needs
in her next journey so that police officers will not
catch her.
After picking the picture, unlock the hidden word in
it by using it in a sentence class.
Evaluation
A. Directions: Read the paragraph below. Be able to identify
the personal pronouns used by underlining them. Then
choose 3 from your answers and use it in a sentence.

JWCS, CAMPUS-1
Tops on the Brigada Eskwela Contest
“Together we Stand, Divided We Fall,” this is said
to be the belief of all the people behind the triumph
of JWCS,Campus-1.
Mr. Freddie M. Cauan, principal of the said
school told the judges that everybody worked hard
for this success. He also added that it is a
corroborated effort of all his constituents.
All the teachers were joyous that they even
wanted to celebrate it but the pandemic suppressed
their wish to do it.
JWCS, Campus-1 marks another
accomplishment in the field of BE competition
particularly- Medium category. It never fails its
stakeholders in bringing home the crown at all times.
Jennilaine L. Millan, OIC of the school also
expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the people
who extended their help financially and in any way
that leads to the said achievement. She also
mentioned in her Radio Interview that the school will
never be left behind in the limelight.
BE Coordinator, Mr. Edison M. Domingo also
voiced out his joy on the said accomplishment. It will
be impossible without the helped of everybody, he
said.
B. Tell something about the pictures below by

  • 18. Generalizations What is the use of personal pronouns, class? In our story today class, pretend that you are Mr. Navarro, how could you help spread Covid- 19 awareness to others? Is it nice to have those social media platforms nowadays guys?
  • 19. Application This time I will divide you into 3 groups but before that, will you tell the magic word again class? Let’s use the different and the most popular media platforms that we have now a days. Who has an active and has many followers in their Tiktok accounts? You stay together.
  • 20. How about those who loves watching in the youtube? Stay together, too. May I also know, who among you loves spending his/her leisure time in browsing the most in demand platform, facebook? Stay in one place together. Before I will give the mechanics of your activity, will you think of a name that could best fit your group.

Group 3- You will be making a caption about our school’s latest achievement on BE. In your caption, it must compose of not less than 5 sentences using personal pronouns.
