2009 – 2014 – Live in Caregiver in an Adult Family Home in West Seattle taking care of
advanced Alzheimers residents and those on hospice care. I was responsible for training and
supervision of new Caregivers at the Facility. I was also on call 24 hours at that facility for back
up and additional support when needed. Duties included Medication administration, cooking,
cleaning, family support, transportation and all usual caregiving functions for elderly. I was also
the senior caregiver in the facility involved in all Hospice cases and was directly involved with
and taking care of 16 different hospice situations through end of life. That Facility closed in
2010 as the Providers lost the lease on the premises and decided to discontinue the business.
2014 – Short term private caregiving for Home Care for a number of clients for six months.
2015 – 2016 – Home Caregiver for Maureen Redl privately employed by her daughter Kerry
Stevens. I looked after Maureen 8 hours per day at her home while daughter Kerry was at work.
Maureen has advanced Alzheimers and required full caregiving during the day. My duties
included cooking and serving meals twice per day for Maureen, shopping, transportation as
required, taking her out with her dog for walks and exercise frequently, cleaning and all other
usual Caregiving duties and activities in the home setting. This ended in December 2016 as the
family decided to move Maureen into a full Memory Care Unit in a larger facility as Maureen
deteriorated to requiring 24 hour care and attention, which was no longer practical in the home
setting.
