Define:
Fivestar has problems regarding suppliers because of irregular price fluctuations and they also
have quality issues with gray cloth.
Fivestar have to face problems in completing the customer orders and they have to pay penalties.
Fivestar also have problems with suppliers of dyes because of sometimes dyes are found not
according to quality standards of Fivestar.
Fivestar face problems while fixation of colors during printing process.
Fivestar has some issues regarding quality of printed clothes. Sometimes they have to reprocess
the cloth or sold it as B-grade product.
Measures:
Fivestar has problems of suppliers because they don’t have fixed suppliers. They purchase gray
cloth from open market which affects the quality and they also face price fluctuations.
They also purchase dyes from local market, that’s why they have to face quality issues regarding
dyes.
Fivestar doesn’t have proper warehousing facility to store the cloth that’s why they have to face
delay in completing orders.
They don’t have separate quality control cell to control and assure the quality throughout the
process.
Fivestar has 60% outdated printing machinery which affects their printing quality.
ANALYZE:
H1: They develop purchasing cell to assure the quality of raw material.
H2: They purchase raw material including gray cloth and dyes from fix suppliers under
purchasing contracts.
H1: Fivestar develop a warehouse to assure the continuous supply of gray clothe to avoid delays
in orders.
H2: Fivestar establish a supply chain management system based on JIT.
H1: Fivestar install new machinery to resolve the problem of color fixation.
H2: Fivestar remove the machinery from processing which creates more problems regarding
quality.
H1: Fivestar establish a separate quality control cell to control the quality.
H2: Head of each process is responsible for quality of the material in process.
IMPROVE:
They should purchase raw material from fix suppliers under purchase agreements.
Fivestar should develop a warehouse to avoid the problems regarding supply of raw materials.
Fivestar install new machinery to remove the issues of color fixation and for increasing the
production.
Fivestar should establish quality control cell.
CONTROL:
Purchasing of raw material should be under the quality control cell.
Quality control cell should be responsible for maintaining the quality of the products according
to the standards
