with nearly 30 years specific Oil & Gas experience from Front End Engineering design
to Detail design and Site Construction supervision and support for offshore and
onshore Oil & Gas facilities.
The past 15 years of assignments have been based in Asia & the Middle East with
approx. 7 of those years in construction supervision and support in Korean Shipyards
in Ulsan and Geoje Island.

Key Experience: I have worked in Australia & overseas for major consultancies, construction and

December 2013 – May 2016
ExxonMobil – HHI Ulsan Korea
Senior E&I Supervisor
Part of ExxonMobil’s project management team for the Hebron topsides construction for offshore
Newfoundland Canada. A key member of the site Electrical engineering team resolving queries from the
both HHI subcontractor and construction E&I inspectors. The assignment also involved liaising with
commissioning and operations groups. Working in conjunction with the E&I construction superintendent
but reporting to the Site lead EI&C engineer, the role also included producing site engineering work packs
for design changes, constructability improvements and additional scope in accordance with MoC
procedures. Familiar with Canadian standards and also CSA certification requirements. Regular site
walkdowns & meetings with the subcontractor and EI&C inspectors were commonplace to determine
complexity & scope of issues raised.
De-mobilized at the end on May 2016, with load out & sailway completed in June 2016.

ExxonMobil – DSME Okpo Korea
Senior E&I Supervisor
Part of ExxonMobil’s project management team for the Arkutun-Dagi topsides construction for the
Sakhalin field development in Russia. Working in parallel with E&I Construction Superintendent to
supervise and manage a team of local E&I inspectors. Responsible for evaluating and tracking all site
queries highlighted by inspectors and coordinating the most effective method for corrective action. The
role also includes interfacing with Operations and Mechanical Completions to review their action items,
ensuring avoidance of parallel efforts on similar tasks. My duties include extensive on site and PDMS
reviews in consultation with DSME engineering and production teams, as well as third party sub-
contractors, to determine the most effective solutions to the highlighted problems, ensuring all codes,
standards and specifications are adhered to.

Senior Electrical Engineer
Recruited by ExxonMobil for assignment to the Qatargas Project Management Team the Common Sulfur
Project facility at Ras Laffan Industrial city. The project is a materials handling plant for Sulfur, the
downstream by-product of LNG processing. My roles & responsibilities as part of the site engineering team
included, but were not limited to the following tasks:
• Review of contractor documentation & liaise with contractor’s site engineering team.
• Analysis of Specification Deviation requests by contractor.
• Resolution & closure of Engineering Punch List items in line with specifications & standards.
• Site walkdowns & inspections & formulation of clarification requests to contractor.
• Assisting contractor with electrical design problems & subsequent documentation issues.
• Safety reviews and walkdowns to ensure safety integrity on site.
• Liaise & assist vendors on site with material & resource management.
• Witness and approval of Factory Acceptance Tests on behalf of client.

construction & design issues are promptly dealt with. Interfacing closely with site construction team to
resolve manpower, material & schedule issues.

Supervise & coordinate a large team of local designers on the detail design of 2 x Compression platforms
& 2 x Manifold platforms for Total Indonesia’s Tunu North & South fields. Liase & coordinate requirements
with other disciplines & also with other contractors for bridge interface tie ins. Frequently review model
using PDMS Review to highlight potential design problems. Assist & mentor local designers to take
responsibility for detail design requirements & deliverable milestones.

ExxonMobil – Ulsan Korea
Electrical Design Specialist.
Part of ExxonMobil’s project management team, responsible for assisting the Hyundai Heavy Industries
Electrical design team to complete the detailed design phase of the NGL extraction platform for the
ExxonMobil Nigeria East Area project. Working role was as a site electrical engineer; duties included
review, check & comment on HHI design deliverables & vendor documentation, ensuring the design
conforms to the required standards & specifications. During the construction phase I was involved with
follow on engineering as well as receiving inspection of vendor equipment. Assisted with site construction
inspections and mark up & drafting of site sketches to forward to HHI engineering for rectification of
construction design faults & non compliance to specifications & codes.

Lead Electrical/Instrumentation Designer
Responsible for a team of Electrical & Instrumentation designers for Front End Engineering Design phase
of the ConocoPhillips North Belut field development in Indonesia. The project consisted of a dual train
Central Processing Platform bridge linked to a Wellhead Platform with a second Wellhead platform sub sea
linked to the CPP. Responsible for the production, checking & timely completion of all Instrument,
Electrical & Telecoms drawing deliverables associated with the project.
