Many of us have worked for a constructive and a destructive boss in our careers. A constructive leader has integrity, is ethical, and empowers their employees. A destructive demonstrates behaviors that are meant to purposefully harm the organization and the employees’ for personal gain. Destructive leaders are successful when the followers and the organization enable the destructive behaviors. As a society we make excuses for the destructive behaviors versus punishing the behavior. As a society we need to educate and encourage todays followers to be constructive leaders.
