The circulatory system is a transport system
which it has important functions like:
1. Supplying oxygen from the lungs to the tissues
2. Supplying substances absorbed from the digestive system to the tissues
3. Removing carbon dioxide from the tissues to the lungs
4. Removing waste products from the tissues to the kidney

What Does the Heart Do in
circulatory system ?
The heart is a pump, usually beating about 60
to 100 times per minute. With each heartbeat
the heart sends blood throughout our bodies
carrying oxygen to every cell. After delivering
the oxygen, the blood returns to the heart. The
heart then sends the blood to the lungs to pick
up more oxygen. This cycle repeats over and
over again

the heart. lungs weighted approximately 1000 g, in adult humans each
lung is 25 to 30 cm long (10 to 12 in) and roughly cone shaped. The
right lung is somewhat larger than the left
The function of lungs:
The main function of the lungs is the process of
gas exchange, oxygen from incoming air enters the
blood, and carbon dioxide, a waste gas from the
metabolism, leaves the blood, reduced lung
function means that the ability of lungs to
exchange gases is reduced
