2. INTRODUCTION:-
This is a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing from a sitting
position or after lying down. Causes include dehydration, long-term bed
rest, pregnancy, certain medical conditions and some medications. This
type of low blood pressure is common Low blood pressure, which can
cause fainting or dizziness because the brain doesn't receive
enough bloodin older adults.
3. DEFINITION:-
“A systolic blood pressure of less than 90 millimeters of mercury (mmHg) or
diastolic of less than 60 mmHg is generally considered by hypotension.”
“Low blood pressure is generally considered a blood pressure reading lower than
90 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) for the top number (systolic) or 60 mm Hg
for the bottom number (diastolic)”.
8. MANAGEMENT:-
Medical management:-
•IV Fluids and electrolytes for dehydration.
•Blood transfusion for blood loss
•Antibiotics
•Stop diuretics medication
•Drug fludrocortisone (boost blood volume)
9. NURSING MANAGEMENT:-
Teach the patient to Drink more fluid and less alcohol.
Avoid sudden movement, moves slowly. while getting up from lying
position, don’t just get up immediately.
Eat mini low carb diet.
Intake salty food.
Drinking fresh beet root juice regularly.
