2. Introduction
Our aim was to connect IoT (Internet of Things) with medical equipment. IoT is
one of the greatest thing now days. It can save our valuable time. We know that
in medical condition how important each second is. We read a proverb in our school life
that “ The patient had died before the doctor come” basically we don’t hear it again.
For doctor to understand patient’s heart’s problem ECG(Electro cardio Gram) is
the main and first thing. After realizing that we thought how will be that if we can make
ECG Report in our room and in that real time the doctor also can see the report. After
that we implement our project and now here this is our project.
3. Objective
1. In this project, we will show you how we can make an IOT based ECG system and
monitor the ECG Waveform on IoT Cloud platform and monitor the signal online from
any part of the world using the PC or simply using the Smartphone.
4. What is an ECG?
1. An ECG is a paper or digital recording of the electrical signals in the heart. It is also called an
electrocardiogram or an EKG.
2. The ECG is used to determine heart rate, heart rhythm and other information regarding the
heart’s condition.
3. ECGs are used to help diagnose heart arrhythmias, heart attacks, pacemaker function and
heart failure.

5. ECG can be analyzed by studying components of the waveform. These waveform components indicate
cardiac electrical activity.
1. The first upward of the ECG tracing is the P wave. It indicates atrial contraction.
2. And then a downwards S wave. This QRS complex indicates ventricular contraction.
3. Finally, the T wave, which is normally a smaller upwards waveform, representing ventricular
relaxation .

Placement on Body
It is recommended to snap the sensor pads on the leads before application to the body.
The closer to the heart the pads are, the better the measurement. The cables are
color-coded to help identify proper placement. We can connect the leads in two way
but the best way is here:
Red: RA (Right Arm)
Yellow: LA (Left Arm)
Green: RL (Right Leg)

7. What is IoT?
The Internet of Things is simply "A network of Internet connected objects able to
collect and exchange data." It is commonly abbreviated as IoT. In a simple way
to put it, You have "things" that sense and collect data and send it to the internet.

14. Future Work
1. In future we want to use AI (Artificial Intelligence) with this project because
using AI it will be more accurate and in case of emergency some time don’t
need a doctor to prescribe.
2. We want to make it accurate and useable to all with the help of some medical technologist.
For that we are searching some good medical technologist who’s are going to help
us in this project.
15. 1. This device will save our time.
2. If any reason doctor can’t come to the patient then the doctor can see
patient’s real time ECG report from any where.
3. Patient don’t need to go to the medical diagnostic center for ECG.
4. In current COVID-19 situation we should stay at home that’s why when we need
to do our family member’s ECG test then this device can help us.
5. It’s a low cost device that’s why any one can effort it.
Advantages
16. Limitations
1. Due its a prototype, not sure that we get the actual value and report of ECG
2. For the network issue sometimes there will be a delay to get the result.
17. Conclusion
1. This is all of our efforts that we did from our own concern about medical technology.
Cause we understand that “Health is wealth”.
2. In this project we made an IoT based ECG system which is a prototype. But we have
Very alacrity to make it for real life and if we will get our time then we will make it
for our real life. And in real life it is going to help in our medical technology.
