2. PROBLEM STATMENT
“A study to assess the effectiveness of
structured teaching programme on
knowledge regarding “Beti Bachao Beti
Padhao” scheme among eligible couple of
selected rural area at Bamanpura Damoh
M.P.”
3. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY-
• To assess the pre test knowledge regarding
“Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” Scheme among
eligible couples.
• To assess the effectiveness of structured
teaching programme on knowledge
regarding “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”
scheme among eligible couple.
• To compaire the pre and post test
knowledge score regarding “Beti Bachao
Beti Padhao” Scheme among eligible couple.
• To find out association between pre test
knowledge score with selected demographic
4. HYPOTHESIS-
H1:- There will be a significant increase
in the knowledge score regarding “Beti
Bachao Beti Padhao” Scheme awareness
program before and after administration
of structure teaching programme.
H2:- There will be significant association
between knowledge regarding “Beti
Bachao Beti Padhao” scheme awareness
among eligible couples
5. OPERATIONAL DEFINITION –
Assess: In this study assess refers to the level
of knowledge among eligible couple regarding
“Beti bachao Beti padhao” scheme.
Effectiveness: It refers to the desired change
brought about by structure teaching
programme.
Structure teaching programme: It refers to
the written material used as informal source in
order to provide information regarding “Beti
bachao Beti padhao” scheme.
6. ASSUMPTIONS -
Eligible couple will have some knowledge
regarding “Beti padhao Beti bachao”scheme.
The knowledge among eligible couple will be
influence by the different
demographic variables. 10
The structured teaching programme will
improve the knowledge among eligiblecouple.
Eligible couple will cooperate & willing take
part in the study
7. VARIABLES -
There are two types of variables used in study
1). Independent variable :-
In this study the independent variable is the
Structured teaching programme regarding Beti
Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme.
2). Dependent variable :-
The dependent variable in the study is
knowledge score among eligible couples (18-
45 years).

9. DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY –
This study will be limited to

in rural community area.
The study is delimited to eligible couples who
are available during data collection and willing
to participate in the study.

participants will be 60 eligible couples.

eligible couple (18-45 years) in rural area
Bamanpura Damoh M.P.
11. RESEARCH APROACH
“Research Approach is systematic, objective method of
discovering with empirical evidence.”
(Polit and hungler, 1995).
Investigator used a quantitative research approach. In the
present study, was aimed at developing and determining the
effectiveness of Structured teaching programme on
knowledge of eligible couples (18-45 years) regarding Beti
Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme. The researcher method adopt
for the study was an evaluative approach.
Hence it was felt that an evaluating approach that is pre-
experimental study enables the investigator to evaluate the
effectiveness of the Structure teaching in term of knowledge
gain.
12. CONCLUSION
The various findings of the study shows that
the knowledge regarding Beti
Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme has been
improved through Structure Teaching
Programmed. There is a significant
association between Age, Religion, Number of
children, Gender of children, Qualification of
husband, Qualification of wife, Occupation
of husband, Occupation of wife, Monthly
family income, Sources of information.
13. SUMMARY
Eligible couple should be aware regarding Beti Bachao
Beti Padhao Scheme.
The study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of
Structure teaching program on knowledge of eligible
couples regarding Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme in
community areas of Bamanpura Damoh M.P.
The study also assumed that Structure teaching
programme is an accepted strategy for self learning
and enhance knowledge.
Justification for taking this study was based on the
facts that the incidence rate has been poor
knowledge regarding Beti Bachao Beti Padhao
Scheme in community.
14. RESULT
The result of the study indicated that in pretest, the mean
score of the sample
was 23.45 (SD = 5.76) and the post test mean score was
(SD = 6.48) with paired “t” value
of 49.57. this showed that the structured teaching program
was effective in enhancing the
knowledge level of the sample regarding blood
transfusion. The conclusion of the study
was pre test nearly three fourth of the sample had low
knowledge (72.9%) where as in
post test, more than half of the student nurses secured high
knowledge (57.6%). This
indicated a marked improvement in the knowledge level of
participants.
