Leaders' Meet - the annual CIO meet by Tata Communication. It is a platform that brings together India's leading CIOs for a confluence of great minds, to deliberate and find solutions to the new age business challenges, by knowledge sharing, networking and panelist sessions.
The theme for the 2014 meet was innovation - a solution to modern business problems.
Here is an entire account of all the work & execution of the same.
2. • Creating an extension of the ‘Networked Enterprise
Institute’ that brings together leading global CIOs to
reflect on and discuss pressing global business issues
and their challenges in a peer group forum.
Vision
3. • Foster relationships with targeted CIOs
• Gain insight into their challenges and roadmaps for
FY’ 15
• Lay foundation for deeper account engagement
throughout the year
• Position Tata Communications’ as a relevant
partner
Objective
4. • What happens, though, when, either by choice or by circumstance,
we need to come up with new solutions?
• What happens when we need to innovate?
• The problem is that we can get in a rut and start seeing the same
problem and offering the same solution.
• It entails coming up with a new approach to an old problem.
The birth of innovation
5. Inspiration to Innovation!
Inspiration is a tightly wound spring, waiting for someone to
release the innovative idea it has in-stored. Hence, innovation
is just a matter of seeking that inspiration, sometimes from
the most unusual sources and the most unlikely places. It is
this inspiration that acquaints you with needs and insights;
makes you explore, learn, pursue, risk and act beyond beliefs
in order to bring your ideas to life. It opens numerous ways to
achieve what once looked like a distant possibility.
So, explore more, learn new and stay inspired to keep
innovating.
7. Teaser e-mailer
The teaser e-mailer was the first piece of communication
send to the leaders. It carried the inspirational story of how
the ball-point pen was invented by Mr. László Bíró during the
time when the only option was an ink pen, which would
eventually leave the paper smudged and unreadable.
8.
9. Invite e-mailer
The second communication sent to the leaders was the Invite e-
mailer. It carried forward the theme ‘innovation & creation’ with
design elements like crumpled paper and bulbs. This was an
interactive e-mailer, where the leaders could click on a tab and
assure their presence for the Leaders’ Meet.
10.
11. DM-Apple
The next communication collateral sent to the leaders was an apple
shaped DM which comprised of multiple ‘notes’ that made up the
body of the apple and a leaf that carried the message of ‘STAY
INSPIRED’.
12.
13. Flipbook / Folder
The fourth communication sent to the leaders was
the flipbook and the folder. In the flipbook, the
leaders witnessed the evolution of ideas and
technology unfold right in front of their eyes. The
folder had the logo of a shining bulb – the universal
symbol of ideas.

16. Reminder e-mailer
A total of three reminder e-mailers were sent out to the
leaders. All three e-mailers captured the beauty of the venue –
The Lalit Grand Palace, Srinagar, which would eventually play
host to the Leader’s Meet.

20. Microsite
MRM//McCann created a microsite that
encapsulated their entire journey.
From enchanting Kashmiri music to a photography
workshop, every experience was memorable. The
attendees also took a swing at a game of golf and took to
the green turf, with the natural beauty of Kashmir serving
as the perfect backdrop for the players as they enjoyed
every moment on the field.

25. Ambient Communication
Inspiration can be found in every corner of the world. This
message was carried forward in the room branding. Inspiring
innovation stories of various in-room objects like the hanger,
TV remote and the toothbrush were placed in the hotel
rooms.

29. Give away: Shikara
The give-away was a Shikara – a memento to remember
the time they spent in that beautiful land. The Shikara is a
type of wooden boat especially found in the lakes of
Srinagar.
To make the entire experience truly memorable a
personalised photo book was presented to each leader
to highlight their personal voyage throughout the event.
