2. There were some peoples at Al-manzar, working related to
fish technology.
We said them to tell us that how you catch fish and
how many species are there?
They said that there are 25 species,
in which some are written below:-
•Singhari
•Gandan (Notopterus Chitala)
•Khagga (Rita Rita)
• Dayo
•Palla (Tennulosa Illisha)
•Popri
• Goj Or Bam (Mastacembelus)
3. They told that in Month of June, July there is lot of fishes,
but in Winter season there is less quantity of fish.
4. *The Fisherman said that there is 2 types of Khagga
fishes are present :-
* Foji Khagga & * Sindhi Khagga.
* They catch Palla Fish of about 1 kg to 2 kg.
Mostly Thella (Gibloem Catla), Khagga, Morakhi, Jheenga,
Popri, Suhni, Ilachi, Dayo, Fadri, Rahu fishes are found at
River Indus.
* The largest fish they caught is Rahu fish and the smallest
fish is suhini fish.
* Shaakur Fish has 2 kinds of fishes present at Al-Manzar
1: Chitti 2: Khusri
5. *An individual fisherman catches 2 or 3 mannes Fis in summer season.
*We can store Fish for 2 to 3 days without Ice.
•Palla(Tennulosa Illisha) fish Caught low at the site.
•He said there is a net used for catching fish
and instead of net we use Kalhoro and Dorro for catching fishes.
*Net is made up of Plastic, Reshmi Fiber and Kashmiri Dorr (Fiber),
range from 200, 300 to 5 or 600 meters.
*Net’s hole is about 2 to 5 inches square.
