Scope of Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of engineers and designers in carrying out Instrument FEED/Detailed engineering works
and provide necessary technical procurement assistance in compliance with tender specifications/data

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Review ITB (Invitation To Bid) documents submitted in the proposals stage, issue inquiry

• distribute work among engineering staff according to specialized training, Superintend and monitor

in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Direct and provide guidance in the Technical Bid
Evaluations (TBE), review vendor drawings and documents. Supervise the review of design

are within budgeted costs.
• Coordinate the preparation of Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of equipment and
materials. Ensure materials are obtained within scheduled timeframes and budgeted costs.
• Direct and monitor Material Take Off (MTO) activities, identify irregularities and shortfalls, take
corrective action when required.
• Participate in HAZOP meeting and undertake SIL studies with client and representatives of other
engineering disciplines
• Participate in the FAT& SAT for control system equipments including DCS/ESD/F&G system.
• Participate in the Precommissioning and commissioning activities for the EPC projects in the
onshore fabrication yard and offshore sites.
• Interface and provide clarification and guidance and technical support to construction sites and
commissioning engineers, provide startup assistance as required.

Position : Instrument Engineer Main Duties : • Works closely with all Engineering Firms like ENPPI and ONSPEC during the Projects Engineering Phase to Determine the Projects Requirements • Reviewing and issuing any comments for the Engineering Firms Documents Issues Related to the Projects activity Such as Project Philosophy, Design Concept, Scope of Work, P&ID's, PFD’s, Cause &Effects, Logic Diagram, Instruments Index, field Instruments Specifications and Data Sheets, Control Valves Specifications and Data Sheets, Shutdown Valves Specifications and Data Sheets, Control panels (Relay Type, PLC, SCADA ….,etc.) Specifications and Data Sheets, ESD panel Specifications and Data Sheets Pneumatic tubing and fitting Specifications and B.O.M, Instrumentation Cables, Cable Accessories Specifications and Data Sheets … etc…, • Reviewing the Engineering Firms Hook-Up Drawings (Pneumatic and Electric wiring diagram) for all instrumentations, Final control Elements and Control Systems. • Reviewing and sharing in preparation for the tenders of All Field Instruments, control Valves , Shutdown Valves, Control Systems , Pneumatic Tubes & Fittings, Instrumentation Cables, Cable Glands , Cable Trays &Accessories,…..etc according to the project standard specifications & codes • Prepare the Vendor List for All Field Instruments and Control Equipments. • Make the Technical Evaluation and making all required Technical Clarifications for all Instrumentation & Control Equipments Tenders. • Making the required QC for all Projects Received Field instruments, Control panels, Cables, Tubing’s, Fittings, ….,etc and making the material technical receiving report according to the approved data sheets. • Sharing in Preparing and attendance of the Test Procedures for the control systems such as FAT and SAT and reviewing the final test certifications according to requirements & specifications. • Lead instrument Projects team to ensure best Installation &Testing for all new instrumentations, control Valves , Shutdown Valves, Instrumentation Cables and Cable Trays,……,etc for oil & gas projects offshore and Onshore locations according to quality plan and inspection test plan (ITP) &Specifications ,Recommended Patrice , and safety rule (HSE). • Follow up Construction work Contractors during equipment Installation. according to quality plan , test plan ,and target plane And make NCR if needed • Lead instrument Projects team to make the Pre Commissioning, Commissioning and start-up for instrumentation activities the New Projects off/shore oil/gas GESIUM locations, according to inspection test plan (ITP). • Commissioning procedures, spec’s .and Safety precautions. • Make the hand over and close out report to deliver the new Installed and Well Running Projects to the Maintenance Dept. 3. Position: Instrument Engineer Main Duties : • Day to day site activities including instruments receiving and applying the Q/C & Q/A Procedure and making the required technical receiving report. • Instruments calibration, issuing calibration certificates of instruments according to specification & Recommended practices. • Follow up instruments installation to insure the best installation and operation. • cable systems (routing and testing), instruments loop checking, control panel installation • Overall system pre commissioning, commissioning and testing until startup to insure best operation. • Production system daily follows up to insure the best products quality and making the required modifications. 4.
