• Review of P&ID and PFD.
• Oil & Gas and Power Boiler projects industray - included for Oil & Gas / coal (Buner
managemant system),.
• Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)/ Emergency
Shutdown System (ESD), Fire Protection Systems (F&G) and third party Programmable
Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• International codes and standards followed are: IEC-61508,IEC-61511,IEC-60529, ISA
5.1, ISA 5.3, ISA 5.4,ISA 20, API RP 554 / API / ANSI / ISO / NFPA / IOSH / OSHA/
NEMA & etc…
• Preparation of Instrument Index, Instrument list, I/O List for DCS, ESD, F&G using
INTOOLS SPI.9.0
• Preparation of Instrument Location Plan, Cable Schedule, Cable Tray layout, Junction
Box Location & JB Grouping Arrangement.
• Preparation of ILD, Interconnection Wiring Diagram(Conventional and FF system) using
INTOOLS SPI.9.0
• Preparation Of Hook-Up& MTOs using INTOOLS SPI.9.0
• Preparation of Datasheet / Specification sheet using INTOOLS SPI.9.0 for various
instruments like Gauges, Smart Transmitters (Pressure, Level, flow and Temperature
etc.), Control Valves, Safety Valves, Orifice plates and Switches etc.
• Sizing calculation of Control Valves and Orifice Plates using Flowcalc / Fisher
Specification Manager / instrucalc and INTOOLS SPI.9.0.
• Pre-bid engineering activities such as preparation of Material Requisition (MR), Technical
Bid Evaluation(TBE)&preparation of Technical Query(TQ) and Recommendation for
various Field Instruments.
• Verification of Vendor offers for various field instruments like Transmitters, Gauges, and
Control Valves etc. and corresponding TQ preparation.
• Familiar with Smart Plant Review, Micro Station V8i and AutoCAD.
• Review of P&ID, Instrument Specification Sheet (ISS), Instrument Process Data Sheet
(IPDS), Instrument Installation Sheet (IIS), Wiring Diagrams, Process &Pneumatic Hook-
up.
• Execution of Instrumentation construction activities, field activities supervision like
Instrument cable laying, Instrument JB and Field Instruments Installation, installation of
level instruments, HC gas detector installation, wiring termination of field instruments
and Junction box, Marshaling panels installation, loop checking, Calibration of field
instruments, pre-commissioning and commissioning of plant.

Progress review meeting, Close out report, Hand over As-built documents/drawings,
survey changes, field changes/spares etc.

Data Sheets, Cable Tray Layout, Erection Material BOM, Cable Schedule, Interlock
Schematics, Control Loop Schematics etc.
• Generating Purchase Order and following up for the Procurement.
• Evaluation of Bids from various Vendors(TQ,TR and TER).
• Following up with suppliers for the timely delivery of Materials.
• Gathered experience in the field of Project Execution of Instrumentation works for TG
Boilers, AFBC Boiler, Gas and oil Fired Boiler etc.,
• Preparing logic diagrams of interlock functions, functional block diagram for
Boiler,turbine & start up sequence logic checking and BOP package & reviewing control
block diagram.
• Commissioning of Field Instruments consisting of OLCS and CLCS.
• Intelligent MCC Communications through Modbus with MFM meters to DCS.
• IED-61850 Communication through Fiber Optic cable with GRP relays to DCS.
