Defination :- it is an essential component of the thyroid hormone which are vital
regulator of basal metabolic rate and physical and mental development.
Nearly 20-30 mg of iodine present in adult humans body.
It can mostly be found within our thyroid gland and during our body synthesis of
thyroid hormones.
