This document provides an overview of basic electrical tools for students in an agriculture department. It lists and describes common tools used for electrical work including screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, hammers, tape measures, drills, circuit testers, multi-meters, utility knives, and lineman pliers. The objectives are for students to learn about and be able to identify the tools, explain their uses, and test their knowledge through example questions.

*Screwdrivers are used to connect wire to
receptacles, switches, lights,etc.
*Screwdrivers are also used to install and remove
switches, receptacles, plate and panel covers.

A tape measure is used in the placement of different type
boxes. Ex: A light switch might be 42” from the floor or a
receptacle might measure 16” from the floor.
