The Cable A course provides the participants with the knowledge of different small cables
used in wind turbines and enables them to perform cable work tasks properly by means of
practical exercises in mounting and stripping the cables according to the assembly and work
instructions in Siemens Wind Power manuals
The participant have gained knowledge and skills in the following fields:
• Recognize the types and characteristics of small cables used in
Siemens wind turbines
• Explain the common methods to eliminate noise by proper shielding
of cables
• Recognize the tools for shielded, rubber and fiber optic cables
• Carry out stripping and mounting the cable ties, ferrules, terminals
and ground cables according to Siemens Wind Power assembly and
work instructions and by using the proper hand tools
• Demonstrate the right bending radius of cables according to Siemens
