Responsibilities and Area Handled:
A) Excise, Service Tax and Dispatches -
 To ensure overall compliance of Central Excise and Service tax.
 Handling correspondence and litigation with excise department such as replies
to Queries, SCNs, Filling of Appeal with Commissioner (Appeal) and CESTAT.
Attending PH at divisions, appeal level and before CESTAT with counsel.
 To inform and update management on new notifications, amendments in
notifications, Circulars, Trade notices and Union Budget, and on new Case
Laws/Rulings on Excise and Service Tax Matters. To advise and give
clarification to marketing and material department on issue related to central
excise on material procurements and dispatches.
 To ensure timely submission of proof of export and Rebate claims. To get
acceptance of proof of export and early sanction of rebate claims.
Correspondence with CHA on correction or clarification related to export
documents.
 Also responsible to do clearances under different exemption schemes and
deemed exports, stock transfer, other local dispatches and job work.
 To attend different Excise Audits (EA2000 and CERA Audit etc), Internal and
External Audits, Quality Audits.
 To provide timely record of Provisional Assessment related to sale of finished
goods through C&F Agents/Depots. Ensure proper accounting of refund claim
in books of accounts. Filling of refund claim arising out of provisional
assessment.
 Other work such as to maintain accurate Cenvat Record, Running Bond Account,
filling of various Excise and Service Tax returns and to keep accurate service tax
records.
 Responsible to Execute Undertaking, Bonds and Amendments in different
licenses.
 To complete formalities related to Export under Self Removal Procedure (SRP)
and under Factory Stuffing Procedure(FSP).
 To administer manpower for smooth functioning of dispatch department, to
train employees to handle SAP and Export documentation software and various
online submissions.
 To enter into different service agreement with service providers and consultants.

3. B) Stores, Warehousing, Transportation and Accounting-
 To maintain receipts and issue of Raw Material, Packing Material and Finished
Goods and to allocate proper and safe storage to material and to ensure correct
timely preparation of GRN and entries in SAP record.
 To reconcile Stock, Cenvat balance with accounts department, to assist Account
department on service Tax matters, issue Input Distributed Invoice (ISD),
informing account department on cenvat position and requirement of service tax
credit to respective plants and PLA requirements.
 To arrange for transportation and loading and unloading of material.
 To Monitor sampling of incoming RM for QA testing and arrangement and
disposal of rejected stocks, scraps.
 Training personnel down the line–on job training, arranging for proper
maintenance of material handling equipments and work related to ISO
requirement related to Stores.
SAP: Well conversant with MM (Material Management) module related to Stores –
Warehousing, Inventory, receipts, issues, dispatches, Excise and other related reports etc.
