How do most people view the functions of the world? Is there a consensus on how certain things are handled, or utilized? Today, there are new
temptations, and functions that were nonexistent three decades ago. Such as the advancements in technology, and communication, an unfair economy
that bounces up and down, and lastly, a government that plays a major role in the daily lives of Americans. With this, I will create autopia, that cancels
out the negatives of these changes.
In the past decade, technology has drastically changed our daily lives. We are now able to communicate with one another, regardless of the physical
boundaries that surround us. However, these advancements in technology, have caused new issues that did not previously exists. In my utopia, I
would not ban the usage of technology, but I would regulate how is it used. Today, there is Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat etc. These apps
dominate the minds of daily Americans. With these apps, people can communicate with one another, without directly pointing out a specific person.
This could be used as a positive tool but, in most cases it is used negatively. Such as, to bully or tear down others. For example, on Instagram the
pictures that get the most likes, are the ones who compare people to one another. The caption is usually, "Me VS you". Social media has created a
perfect platform of falsity. To correct this false hood, and forms of bullying, my utopia would create new apps, that strictly regulate what is being
posted. Technology would be used in its greatest, positive potential. Efficient communication with others, would be its one and only offer. Citizens
would still be able to post, and access apps created for my utopia. Their time spent on the internet though, would be limited per day. This would be to
ensure face–to–face social skills, that would be required in my utopia.
Today's economy has re–established the modern–day classes. The United States is now composed of the lower class, middle class, upper middle, and
upper class. This economy has created a huge gap in income, and the people. A larger sum of taxes is imposed on those who don't have the means to

further infer that technology has been incorporated into everything needed to survive. We use technology in business, education, medicine, and

Living in a world of technology has its many perks, from reminding us of are upcoming events to getting to see your new born niece or nephew who
lives 5 states away. Though technology keeps us in touch with people we might not see every day, it has its ways of hurting the relationships around

As time has progressed so have we and so has the technology that we create. We are at a point in time that everyone with the monetary means has the
answers to everything at the tips of the fingers. Yet this amazing breakthrough in science and technology is tainted by the fact that people don't know
how to control it. We have become completely addicted to our cellphones, absolutely engrossed and overtaken by the fact that we have all this access
that we can't separate ourselves from, not even enough to realize that we may be in too deep.
First, as teens we all wanted the newest things. The latest trends in fashion, the latest gadgets, and the latest cell phones. We begged our parents to get
us that new shiny iPhone when it came out or that new Samsung phone, we wanted whatever we thought was cooler and better, and what we thought
we could not survive without. And this is mostly because of what we can do on our phones. As Joelle Renstrom said in an interview with BU Today
students have a "Fear of missing out", students are afraid of missing text messages, not knowing their friend's latest post on Instagram, or not knowing
what happened last night on that Snapchat story. There is also the factor that students are anxious when they don't respond immediately as Renstrom
puts it "There's a term called techno–stress to describe the frenzy"; they get nervous and worried when they receive a message or an email and they
don't immediately respond. It is the fear of being penalized for not being attentive to your phone 24/7. On the other hand, it is the feeling of being
liked and well–known among your peers. When we post a picture or tweet something and someone likes it, retweets it, or responds in any way that
is positive it makes us feel good about ourselves therefore we look to post more and have a more active social media presence so that we can have
feeling repeatedly. It's like being an addict with and unlimited supply.
Secondly, studies have shown that excessive cellphone use can lead to serious psychological problems. In a recent study, it was discovered that in late
2012 more than 50% of the population owned a smartphone and around that same time the rate pf depression and suicide in teens began to increase.

Think back to the good ole' days of elementary school. You are running around playing tag at recess and reading notes that your mom sent in your
lunch box. Those were the good days. Those were the days where your only worry was handwriting class or those awful timed multiplication
worksheets. The children of the new generation will remember elementary school a little differently. Instead of handwriting class they are in typing
classes, and instead of running around at recess they are playing angry birds. They will never know the frustration of getting knocked out of the ace
spot in four square, or perhaps the feeling of swinging from the monkey bars to get from one side of the playground to another. We live in a society
where technology equals knowledge. The more technology you have the more knowledge you are believed to have encountered. As with any
controversial topic, there are many layers included within this current debate; including the struggle of insufficient Wi–Fi access at students' homes,
lack of and struggle with student focus in the classroom, and health problems that come from too much screen time for children.
Although technological devices can be very beneficial to students, they can also hinder a student's education. Parents are also aware of the distractions
that come with the tablets and other technologies, especially with younger students. One of the most fundamental keys to success is often over looked
