Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens.
• Oliver Twist was first published in 1837.
• Title : ' Mister Oliver Twist'
• Oliver Twist was Dickens's second novel and his first real social
novel, critiquing the harm public institutions influenced on the poor.
• In this novel we see total 38 characters, and of course Protagonist
character was OLIVER TWIST.
• He was the first child protagonist in an English Novel.
His childhood condition
• Oliver is an orphan boy. When he born in workhouse and while he
open his eyes in poor conditions, he always feels that he has nobel
blood.
• Oliver is between nine and twelve yers old when the main action of
the Novel occurs.
• Oliver spends his childhood in a badly run orphanage and he shifted
to the workhouse for adults.
Oliver's ability
• Oliver Twist is a young, good - hearted, and kind - but often
mistreated - orphan who is raised in a workhouse, and finds himself
indentured to an undertaker, living with thieves, and eventually taken
in by the kind Mr. Brownlow, and Mrs. Maylie.
• His generosity of spirit is total, and even when faced with serious
maltreatment, he never loses his sense of morality or kindness.

• He also victimized by poverty.
• He is pious, innocent child, and his chrmas draw the attention of
several wealthy benefactors.
• Dickens's little hero, Oliver Twist, while naturally appreciating
goodness, is disgusted by immortal things like 'stealing', which was
unfortunately happening around.

Content...
• The master was a, fat, healthy man: but he turned very pale. He
gazed in stupefied astonishment on the small rebel for some
seconds, and then clung for support to the copper. The assistants
were paralyzed were paralyzed with wonder : the boys with fear.
• 'What! ' said the master at length, in a faint voice?
• 'please sir,' replied Oliver, "I want some more."
Summing up...
• Although Oliver is fundamentally righteous, the social environment in
which he is raised encourages thievery and prostitution.
• Oliver struggles to find his identity and rise above the abject
conditions of the lower class.

  • 4. Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. • Oliver Twist was first published in 1837. • Title : ' Mister Oliver Twist' • Oliver Twist was Dickens's second novel and his first real social novel, critiquing the harm public institutions influenced on the poor. • In this novel we see total 38 characters, and of course Protagonist character was OLIVER TWIST. • He was the first child protagonist in an English Novel.
  • 5. His childhood condition • Oliver is an orphan boy. When he born in workhouse and while he open his eyes in poor conditions, he always feels that he has nobel blood. • Oliver is between nine and twelve yers old when the main action of the Novel occurs. • Oliver spends his childhood in a badly run orphanage and he shifted to the workhouse for adults.

Oliver's ability • Oliver Twist is a young, good - hearted, and kind - but often mistreated - orphan who is raised in a workhouse, and finds himself indentured to an undertaker, living with thieves, and eventually taken in by the kind Mr. Brownlow, and Mrs. Maylie. • His generosity of spirit is total, and even when faced with serious maltreatment, he never loses his sense of morality or kindness.

Continue..... • He also victimized by poverty. • He is pious, innocent child, and his chrmas draw the attention of several wealthy benefactors. • Dickens's little hero, Oliver Twist, while naturally appreciating goodness, is disgusted by immortal things like 'stealing', which was unfortunately happening around.

  • 10. Content... • The master was a, fat, healthy man: but he turned very pale. He gazed in stupefied astonishment on the small rebel for some seconds, and then clung for support to the copper. The assistants were paralyzed were paralyzed with wonder : the boys with fear. • 'What! ' said the master at length, in a faint voice? • 'please sir,' replied Oliver, "I want some more."
  • 11. Summing up... • Although Oliver is fundamentally righteous, the social environment in which he is raised encourages thievery and prostitution. • Oliver struggles to find his identity and rise above the abject conditions of the lower class.
