How Web Analytics Works
 Whenever Analysis is to be done through it requires
Collection of DATA.
 Like for Super-Market , Retail Store, etc. they would track
it through their POS-Point of Sale system, Sales Database,
Finance Reports, etc.
 Similarly to Track Data for a website you need to Collect
it first & to Help us to do it we use a Tracking Code/Java
script Code provided to us by Google Analytics

How Web Analytics Works
 What is a Java script Code
 Any website is coded in HTML[Hyper Text Markup
Language]
 And it has its own piece of elements/tags basis which a
webpage is coded &
developed[e.g.<head>,<title>,<script>,etc]
 In HTML, Java script is an element which can do multiple
activities, one of it been of helping us to track data
 For tracking data it triggers a script file known as
“Cookie”, which is stored on your browser
