Commercial matters:- from feasibility/ site investigation to quantity

and Price negotiations, right up to award of work, execution, monitoring,

3. Experience:
Dec 2016 to Till date: Self employed.
July 2014 To Sept 2016: Leading the project team as VP-Projects for
implemention of Coal Handling Package for 3x800 MW STPP at NTPC
Kudgi, Bijapur, Karnatak, for Energo Engineering and Projects Limited on
EPC basis. Other than Stalker and Reclaimer which is being procured from
China, all other equipments and components are being procured/
manufactured in India. The cost of Project is 353 Cr INR. As leader of team
the responsibility matrix includes award of work for execution part, all
coordination at all level and departments with NTPC and our sub-vendors
and responsible for timely execution with full delegation of powers by
management for execution purpose. In nutshell applicant is accountable
for all coordination, site related procurement, selection of sub vendors for
execution, planning, budgeting and timely completion of project.
June 2013 to June 2014: Consultant (Self employed) at Raipur and Raigarh
area.
Dec. 2011 to April 2013: BGR Energy Systems Limited, Raigarh,CG: Worked
as AVP & RCM- Site for 2x300 MW TPP. Led Project implementation team as
AVP- Site, for 2x300 MW (600) MW coal based thermal power plant, the
BTG equipment being supplied by CWPC, China. The responsibility matrix
included project planning, contracts management, engineering,
detailing, monitoring of site activities besides financial budgeting, material
planning and procurement of cement, rebars, all types of steel for
fabrication works and construction material at site of works. Civil, structural
and electrical works for 600 MW include a 270 M twin flue chimney, 2 nos
IDCT and CHP- without wagon tippler. It has truck unloading hopper and
emergency reclaim hopper besides stacker and reclaimer. All civil works
in BTG and BOP were being executed on item rate basis with Cement,
steel rebars, structural steel. Other than BTG even RMC all grades of RCC
was being provided by BGRESL. Only BTG equipment supply and
commissioning is with CWPC, China and erection, testing and
commissioning is with BGRESL.. All field machines like excavators, cranes
(75 MT to 450 MT) - 5 nos, hydras 3 nos, dumpers and transit mixers 5 nos,
batching plant- 2 nos of 30 cum/ hr each, 2 concrete pumps of 50 cum/
hr each have been mobilized and maintained at site.
Lifted drum for unit 1 in 85 working days for activity and 15 months after
mobilization as an EPC executor.
4. Jan 2010 to Till Nov. 2011: M/S Indiabulls Real Tech Limited, Nasik, MS:
Working as General Manager-(Civil, Structures and Railways) and 2nd
in
line after Project Head for implementation of 5X270 (1350) MW (Phase I)
coal based thermal power plant, being supplied by BHEL. The
responsibility matrix included project planning, contracts, engineering,
detailing, monitoring of site activities besides financial budgeting, material
planning and procurement at site of works. The total team of power group
is separate for the project. Civil works for 1350 MW include 2X270 M twin
and triple flue chimney, 5 IDCT cooling towers, raw water pipe line 30 KM
long from Nasik STP after tertiary treatment unit and 28 KM of railway track
with siding inside plant. All civil works of BTG and BOP are being executed
on item rate basis. Only BTG equipment supply and commissioning is with
BHEL on EPC basis.
Oct 2007 to Dec. 2009: M/S KSK Energy Ventures, Warora, MS.: Worked as
General Manager-(Civil & Structures) and 2nd
in line after Project Head for
implementation of 540 MW (135X4) coal based thermal power plant. The
responsibility matrix includes project planning, contracts, engineering,
detailing, monitoring of site activities besides financial budgeting, material
planning and procurement at site of works. The total team of power group
is separate for the project. All works for 540 MW completed including all
the 4 IDCTs, structures 1,08,000MT and both chimney of 215 M each with
flues.
May 2007- September 2007: CDE Ireland, UK: Working on contract
assignment as Project Coordinator since May 2005 to September 2007
controlling the sand washery projects in Omen and Qatar. Responsibility
included technical support in site execution, resource auditing and
coordinating design and detailing and structural fabrication from India
through CDE Asia, Kolkata.
April 2005 – April 2007: DGM & HOD – Civil & Structural: Birla copper,Dahej,
Gujarat- HIL.
Job Profile constituted of Execution of projects works relating to copper
plant of MITSUBISHI technology besides execution of Aluminum Fluoride,
ETP, STP, Electrolytic refining shop, Gold and Silver recovery plant Phase II,
Township expansion, 150000 cbm capacity reservoir, pipe conveyor etc.
For revenue projects activities like estimation, getting approval of
management, design (For medium projects of industrial nature costing 5
to 50 crore INR), Implementation of new projects with in approved cost &
time period and Quality.
5. Besides foregoing, entire maintenance of civil, steel structures and
services of Plant, Township and Jetty. Troubleshooting and improvement in
existing services of process and structural up gradation.
Achievements: Improved the existing systems in a number of cases and
most of projects implemented in time.
In township- 174 flats in phase II of township expansion besides one
additional block of 4 VIP flats, Construction of entire township part II with
264 flats, roads and other services, STP, OH tank, RO unit and
electrification work including all internal wood work, complete in all
respect. Consultant was Mr Ashok Desai of Surat. Total cost worked out to
Rs 2750 lacs in 15 months time.
Construction of 20 bedded AROGYA hospital having two OTs, X- ray, Ultra
sound, path lab and 2 wards, 3 VIP rooms, 1 ICU besides facilities like
laundry, fully A/C and OPD at a total cost of 100 lacs.

Significant Highlights
Played pivotal role in enhancing the organizational turnover from Rs.25
Crores to Rs.150 plus Crores in approximately 8 years, by obtaining
projects up to the worth of Rs.550 Crores.
Guided organization with wide verity of concepts and efforts in the
development and establishment of data bank for information sharing.
Added new fields of Roads and Bridge construction to company business.
Constructed a 33X3 M pre-stressed 4 lane bridge on Hindon at 7th
mile
stone from GNOIDA to NOIDA 30rth Rs 16 crore INR.
Spearheaded strategic tie-ups and partnerships for exploring new
avenues of business.
To mention some of the important SPVs namely in Road Sector with NHAI,
EPC Projects in infrastructure sector are JV with Gulab Singh of MP, P.T.

6. Had been pioneer on Building capital resources for cost reduction. Played
a crucial role in bagging the Port Connectivity Package of Haldia (West
Bengal) with NHAI, New Delhi, worth Rs.220 Crores (Duration: 30 months),
Bhopal - Sehore Bypass in M.P. worth 48.50 Crores with PWD.
Deputed as Project Manager for troubleshooting problems in mini hydro
power plant (7.3*2 MW) including 2.5km of canal works. It involved 7 lakh
Cbm of earthwork, 400MT of fabrication of hydraulic gates and structures,
along with 50000cbm of concrete work at Tajewala with HPGCL
amounting to Rs. 26.50 Crores besides monitoring and controlling of two
road projects with PWD Haryana i.e. Reconstruction and widening of
roads from Jagadari to Ponta Sahib boarder and Yamunanagar to
Ladawa ( 55 KM )amounting to Rs. 18.00 Crores.
Jan ’82 to Dec 95: Served SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant in projects
department. Joined SAIL as GT and worked for 15 years and left as
Manager (Projects). Major projects executed were:
Successfully executed projects as Frontline Executive costing those days
approximately 500 crores INR. Managed site planning and construction
activities for the projects. Important ones to name are as under:
Superintending Engineer (Contracts & PPM ): Extended contract
management support to executing officers in projects and operation as
well. Besides coordinated and followed up supplies from manufacturers/
suppliers located at North, East and Western part of India (1992- 1995).
Zonal Engineer / Divisional Engineer- Civil: Geodetic and contour surveys
(1988-89 ), Quantity estimation worth over 300 Crores with SAIL . Improving
functioning of the system to check cost over run and speedy execution
for projects worth over Rs 750 Crores with SAIL. Designed Schedule of Rates
89 for SAIL.
Zonal Engineer- Contracts (Projects): Actively involved in tendering, pre-
bid / techno-commercial negotiations and liaison with vendors for
projects up to the worth of Rs.4000 Crores (1989- 92).
Effectively coordinated with cross-functional divisions for consolidation of
technical specification reports for presentation before Technical Audit &
Estimation/ Cost Audit by Finance, before the preparation of the Board
Note for the Board of Directors of SAIL.
Implemented PERT Chart technique for monitoring project activities for
indigenous supplies valued over Rs.850 Crores, as part of the Rs.4000 Crore
RSP, SAIL modernization budget.
7. Successfully implemented the Time & Motion Theory for reducing the
tendering cycle from over 180 days to 83 days in a period of 2 Years.
Divisional Engineer: Captive Power Plant (60*2MW) including cast able
and fusion refractory besides fibrous insulation work in Main Boiler, Coal
Pipes, Super Heater and Steam pipes, Turbine Glass Wool Foam Spray
insulation, RCC 106 M high chimney- 2 nos, cooling towers- 3 nos. (worth
400 crores INR in 1986-88). Besides renovation of 33*6 MW Thermal Coal
fired Power Plant: Civil and steel structural works ( worth 80 crores INR in
1988-89).
Asstt. Divisional Engineer- Civil: Two mega projects for CRGO & CRNO
Rolling Mills ( worth 22 crores INR in 1982-85) and Civil Structural &
Mechanical Works of 500T/hour Coal handling plant having facilities like
Wagon Tippler, Crusher House, Stacker & Reclaimer, Junction Houses and
Belt Conveyor System, Manual Unloading Hoppers (worth Rs.28.0 Crores
excluding cost of structural steel- yr 1984-85).
